It’s telling when Brady left coach BB had the Patriots fall like a rock at the bottom of the trinity river . And yet some posters here want the mid 70’s coach to take over for MM .

Brady would not have thrown it to him again because Belichick would've benched his ***. They didn't let rookies or nobodies screw up like that much over there.
Dude, it was a totally different route. An easy route. Wake up and let loose of the hate.

I don't know if it was explicitly the next drive, but yes he went back to him pretty quick right after.

Brady is exaggerating about not going back to him - especially for this team - but the larger point is that it's difficult to have any confidence in a guy like that. Guys like Brice Butler and Kevin Ogletree were really good examples of players had talent to be productive but just not consistent enough to be trusted. I'm not sold Brooks has the raw talent of either one of them, tbh.
I thought Tyron Billy-Johnson performed better during training camp. Sucks because he was cut even though he was our good sized speed guy who could consistently go deep and help spread the field for CeeDee, Cooks and Ferguson underneath. We currently have no WR who can consistently do that. Cowboys should move Brooks down to the practice squad and bring TBJ back since he's currently available as a free agent.

I mean how many rookies did they even play? They were known for squandering talent at the end of Bills reign.

I think brady is still mad at The Cowboys because we beat his behind and put him out of the playoffs and was his last game
ever.

I see some of y'all have some questionable memories. Patriots didn't ALWAYS have talent at the WR position. They would have 1 or 2 guys in alot of cases to make chicken salad out of chicken ****, have a solid defense and then use Brady as the cheat code.

Guys who did much of nothing on other teams became solid contributors in New England.

He also had the benefit of playing with a ton of receiving talent over the years - there was always 3-4 legitimate options in the passing game. They didn't depend on guys like Brooks to actually catch passes - so when they didn't he could ignore them.
He did? I think you may be incorrect on that. Brady threw prolifically to RB's, slot WR's, and TE's. If you meant a ton of receiving talent at those positions, OK.

The NE O was known as dink and dunk, and most resources were spent on D and Brady was required to get by, often w/ bargain basement WR's.

Our very own Danny Amendola springs to mind. Among others.

I am not a fan of Brooks. I think he is a preseason flash. I understand they like him because of his speed but I never liked his route running. We'll see how the season plays out but it would not surprise me is he was demoted at some point.

I am a fan of Ryan Flournoy. He got some reps in pre-season against first string defenders and got separation, even in the red zone. I'll take the technical skills over raw speed. The Cowboys need someone else who can get open consistently.

We’ve all heard the comment Brady said when asked if he’d go to Brooks again during this game. Basically, he said hell no.

Brooks can take this one of 2 ways.

1. Man I messed up and then the GOAT says that? Jeez, I must suck.
2. Ok Mr. Brady. You’re absolutely correct. If I was Dak, I wouldn’t throw to my stumbling *** either. But I’ll show you, and everyone else, and do my best to make sure that never happens again.

I’m hoping, and expecting, #2.
Tolbert should be getting more snaps than Brooks

Exactly. Like you say, they usually didn't.
