Tom Brady said he would not continue trusting Jalen Brooks that game. Brooks made a terrible mistake but he is young without a lot of real live game opportunities under his belt also. It may be prudent for him to not be written off completely at this point.
The great QBs basically ask 2 things of their WRs: be where you are supposed to be and catch the ball. If they are covered the QB will throw elsewhere but it seems like the only thing the great QBs get frustrated by is not being where you should and dropping the ball.

I'll continue to post how long ever i feel... but thanks for your concern there is no rule against the length of my posts nor sentence structure... if you guys are worried about go to twitter where you do not have to worry about it because they limit texts....

so you can keep following my posts around and trying to bait me, it wont work i'm going to continue doing what i want..... and by the way i'm glad it bothers a good handful of people in here, they annoy me equally as much....

i'm not a content creator or a mod or work for this place so no NEED for more professionally written posts, save that for Bob or other on the staff.

If its easier put me on ignore.. :oldcouple:
So. That would be a no..?

It was a dumb comment as evidenced by him catching a pass the next drive. It’s the really real world… receivers trip and fall on occasion sometimes (gasp) leading to interceptions!
Brooks got limited chances and he had two big screw ups.... one can argue it contributed heavily to the lob sided loss. with that said, if he catches that and we end up scoring. if he makes a block and cook scores. we still lose this game, because Saints took their foot off the pedal and slowed their offense. they could have easily continued and scored on every drive and probably get to 60 points easily.

He needs to be in his face. He is the top dog on the team. Man up and deal with it.
Agreed. There are different forms of leadership. Quarterbacks have cussed out their receivers for as long as football has existed. It has sometimes gotten receivers to focus and perform better.

His alligator arms on the deep ball didn't help his cause either.

If a 12 yard out is called by the OC, the QB doesn't get to decide he will not run that play because he doesn't "trust" the WR.
sure he does. happens all the time. but you're also describing a route, not a play. most plays there are multiple options and potential targets. a qb's comfort level in the players can have an impact on where he decides to go.

Coaches and QB's with the game on the line you 100% want to go with the guy you think will make the play even if double covered. That's why you see qb's make the wrong throw into double coverage to wr1 while wr4 is open.

This is the NFL. WR's are paid to not slip on their routes. Don't slip, it's not complicated.

If you disagree, then show me the multiple plays where Edelman, Welker, Branch, and others slipped on their routes causing an INT.

After Lamb, the Cowboys have Cooks, Tolbert, Turpin, and Brooks. At least they have Lamb but after him, the rest of that squad is mid, at best. When you could that with their RBs, and the TEs active for that game is it any wonder the Cowboys could only manage 19 points?

To me, Cooks is too small to run some rounte. He needs to get down the field more and you have to hit him in stride. He is not a guy to run slants and curls.

Tolbert is not consistent enough but I love his hustle. He is not a #3. He's a #4 WR.

Turpin is a return guy. I don't trust him as a receiver. Maybe he can run those end arounds and plays like that but I don't trust his hands.

Brooks still seems like a pre-season flash in the pan.

I want to see Flournoy play some. I think he is a crisp route runner, can get open, can run the routes Dak likes to throw, and he is a good blocker in the run game. . The Cowboys need a guy that get get separation, especially in the red zone. Flournoy played against 1st string CB in preseason and did okay with Fields throwing the ball. I'd give him a chance and see what he can do. If he sucks I will be the first to admit it but at least we know and can move on.

he had a right to be mad because he knew right after the game in allk the SM recitons and ESPN,:espn:

That he would be blamed for the interception,

and he also knew,

it chaged the game big picture A LOT.. Dak and the offense were doing all they could like last years Seatle game to keep up with terrible defense and that INT turned the game , literally took us out of not only scoring on that drive, BUT the d turned around and gave up ANOTHER TD..

it was major blow and remember all the

"we need to see more emotions and reactions that bad plays are unacceptable out of our payers" well there you go. In the heat of the moment he was angry because it was major blow to staying in a game eating more clock and knowing they get the ball back first in the 2nd half,

i see that play as major reason we lost a n opportunity to keep it closer, outside the Defense playing historically bad and w likely lose anyway...

i'm sure privately in the locker room they are all cool but im ok with Dak expressing his emotions in the battle.. it was a costly mistake regardless of if it was an accident.
So everyone must be perfect for Dak, but when he misses an open WR, we are supposed to look the other way?

Cooks all of sudden becomes mediocre when he joined the Cowboys? That dude is a beast. He just not utilized at all on the Cowboys. They just spam to CeeDee.
