Twitter: Brandin Cooks on Dak "He can't do it all by himself"

Games are won and lost in the fourth quarter. Did you not understand the complete statement? so you say they can be lost in the fourth quarter. But it was over at halftime. You’re contradicting yourself.
I said, they can be lost in the FIRST QUARTER. Reading is fundemental.

Cooks is trying to be a good teammate, but totally misses the point.

It’s exactly what anyone would expect him to say as his teammate. Listen to opponents when they tell you their game plan is to see if Dak can beat them.

If Dak becomes the highest paid QB then i'll be pissed. It goes to show how Jerry just can't cut it as GM.

The offense should be expected to do their part too. You can't keep hoping the defense holds teams to 3 points or less every week so the offense has a chance to keep up
More like once a year.

Not sure if he’ll be the highest paid QB when Jerry extends him, but either way you’ll be pissed which is a sweet thing to see.

It's almost like Brandin Cooks has never been Dak's teammate before. Dak has never done it by himself. Dak needs his weapons to be dangerous.

So NFL players that haven't won championships automatically don't know what they're talking about?

Randy Moss? Dan Marino? Do they know what they're talking about more or less than Cooks?
Get real.

For one, football players are not gonna be totally honest in the media about another player if it is going to start a firestorm of drama.

And also, by the same token, you cannot assume that any given fans doesn't know football. That is called the Genetic Fallacy. You can't assume any given fan knows nothing. Many fans do know football, even better than some of the athletes that play it. The only separator is being born with athletic ability. You don't need athletic ability to learn and know all about football just like you don't have to be a scientist to learn and know all about Quantum Theory.

Dak has had his weapons, stacked teams, and high playoff seeds, He just can't get over the mental glitch.

Making it to the NFL and being a pro bowler is a good look. List off your accomplishments….
Winning a genetic lottery with world class athletic ability is not an accomplishment. I'd make it to the NFL and make the pro bowl too with that kind of advantage.

He knows Dak is gone.

And Dak has NEVER had to do it by himself. Cooks, a guy that's had 6 1,000 yard seasons, is like the 5th best receiver Dak has played with.

Also, why has a 30 years old receiver with 6 1,000 yard seasons on his 5th team?
Only had the most all pros of any team in the league last year. Can we get this man some help!? It's just not fair that he has to do it all by himself!

Games are won and lost in the fourth quarter. His fourth-quarter stats are among the best in the league consistently even though some choose to call it garbage time.
The only thing that’s garbage is that excuse.

Dak does get too much blame.
Some of those stats wouldn't be garbage time stats if the D could make a stop or two. They may even be winning the game stats.
I'm saying this as someone who is frustrated with Dak. Emotionally, I don't ever want to see that blank, disassociated stare again. You never know when it'll happen, but you know when you see it that the game is over.
Rationally, he's a top 10 QB, and that's hard to find. As good as we have been at drafting most positions, the front office completely lucked out with both Romo and Dak. They have shown zero ability to accurately evaluate QB's, most recently Trey Lance.
Imagine if we would've ditched Romo for Manziel or Lynch. Lol.
Sometimes, you gotta be content with the chickens you have and just eat the eggs for breakfast.

Looks like Dak's teammates know they also have to step it up...

Nobody said he had to do it all by himmself. IN fact a majority of people said PLEASE DON'T TRY!

Certainly not Jerry...who does things like...say... trade for a 1st round WR to help him.

The last game they played was lost in the 1st half.
The score at the half was:

GB 14
Dak 13 (to GB)
Dallas 7
Lmao! Or, maybe it was over at the end of the 3rd quarter
when the score was 41-16.
You’re laughing because we lost.

I don’t think he’s perfect either. I don’t think anybody is. And I agree with most of what you said. My only real point is it’s a team sport and people that really don’t like him. Just don’t like him. Even if we win a Super Bowl? It wouldn’t be because of him.
