Wouldn't it also indicate a team that consistently marches down the field and gets into FG range, thus eating up the clock while still putting up points? Last time I checked, a field goal is still better than a turnover or punt.
Or - a miss.

Aubrey has been reliable, although he's not yet been asked to hit the game winning clutch FG yet.

But I'm not shaking in my boots when he comes on to FG kick.
I'm thinking more make it .. than I am .. here comes a miss.

And he's not whiffing extra point kicks either. (ala Maher)

Doesn’t it also show how effective the undrafted kicker has been?
Never bashed the kicker, he's been great thus far but we're talking about a kicker and next week he could go 0-3 in fieldgoal tries..... but kicking stats show other deficiencies of a TEAM.

I fully thought he was going to nail that 66 yarder yesterday. He has a heck of a leg.
I was kind of sad that he didn't get to try it and happy at the same time. Happy because it would have ruined his perfect FG percentage if he missed. Sad because it wasn't a have-to-have-it situation, so I just would have liked to see if he could miss it. As a player who hasn't been kicking a football very long his tendency on long kicks has been to overkick them instead of trusting his process. If he made it, it might have given him more confidence in his process.

Yeah. We’re talking about a kicker that’s been great thus far.

I’m glad that we agree.

Yup. Hope he doesn’t get the yips.
i totally praise Aubrey---what is he 13 for 13 to start?....and i agree i hope too he does not get yips....whatever may cause it is real....and it is all mental

unless you have an injury....but Aubrey has been nailing his kicks center of goal posts.....for all the bad Jerry has been charged with there are times he

is the genius in the room?....its just like S.F. starting QB Purdy...he was lasts years very last pick in the draft and plays like a wiley veteran now???

sometimes its a crap shoot....take all the different tabulations that go into finding an edge in drafting players....sometimes its a crap shoot???

mr Stash---please chime in on the thread i put up should we put a Hexa (10) PLAT against SF this week?....i think we can agree S.F. may very well be the NFL's

top team? and we play in Santa Clara CA....but i know there will be many Cowboy fans in the stands....and we know Shanahan is offensive Guru and this Purdy

kid the very last pick in the draft last year plays like a wiley veteran....the very last pick...mr irrelevant....sometimes its a crap shoot drafting players...like Jerry

choosing this Aubrey kid?...with all of the true bad charges against Jerry interfering....sometimes he hits oil??

The Dallas Cowboys have a pro bowl kicker!

I was one of the Aubrey doubters. The struggles in training camp had me worried. I really did not think the kicker situation was going to be a good one, but he has shown that he not only belongs in this league, but has a chance to be one of the better players at his position.
