NFLDraftScout has his comparison down as Ronde Barber. Seems like a good comparison to me.

And Ronde is a cover 2 guy who went in third round.(I think)

Ronde Barber is also a future HOFer.
Not really. And in terms of comparison, I don't mean to suggest he'll be as good as the guy he's being compared to.

But if we were strictly a Cover 2 team, I'd be all over him in the 2nd or 3rd. Since we're not, I wouldn't touch him with any pick.

You don't think Barber is a HOF CB look at his numbers they stack up quiet well I think he is a lock.

No, I don't think there's a chance in hell he makes it. There are only 19 DBs in the HOF. And only 5 of those DBs played after 1980.

Flowers is an Antoine Winfield clone who will be able to be physical with guys like Plaxico while supporting the run with the best of them at his position. He has the instincts and the smarts to make it as a cover 2 corner as well as a man to man guy. Don't judge him by his timed speed he plays much faster than that. Mayok has been all over the place this year but he nailed this one as far as talent. He is not the #1 corner in this draft I didn't believe Mayok when he said that but he will be a stud on the next level.

Barber is gonna make the hall. Too much of a play maker on one of the all time great Ds. I don't have the numbers in front of me, but I'm pretty sure his # of ints and TDs are pretty good.

The Bucs D is one of the all time greats?

He averaged about 3 INTs per season, which is pretty good, but not "Oh my god he's a 1st ballot HOFer good."

I think Mayock just likes to appear to be different. No way does he really believe that Brandon Flowers is the #1 corner in the draft. Come on. I mean, yeah, he looks to be a fantastic cover 2 guy, but he'd get scorched in man. So no...Flowers is not the best corner in the draft.

As for the Cowboys getting him, we play too much man to have a guy whose weakness is speed.

Isn't Ronde Barber the only cb in nfl history with 20 sacks and 20 picks?

Agreed. No way is Ronde Barber a first ballot hall of famer, but I can see him getting in after becoming a finalist for the fifth or sixth time.

I want some guys on our D with attitude, most of our guys seem to be 'nice-guys' we need some of that tenacity and some swagger. Flowers could bring that, he plays with great instincts and seems to have a very high ceiling.

What I don't like about Flowers is that at VA TECH he always played what they call the "boundary side" which means he lined up on the short side of the field while Macho Harris, a junior, played the wide side of the field...why?
I don't really know the answer, but I can wonder, and I don't like it.
