“Norv Turner told me a long time ago when we were sitting in the [Browns] quarterback meeting, and he said, ‘Brandon, I don’t know what you have done to whoever, but you’ve got the worst luck of any player I have been around.’ I have, ever since I was a little kid,” Weeden said, via the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. “I don’t know what I did. But it is what it is. I’m never going to lose confidence in my ability. I wouldn’t be here and put in this position if I couldn’t play this position. You’ve just got to clean it up — the little things that maybe I missed today.”

Wow. Never thought I'd hear a professional athlete (or any other professional) say that luck is a factor in his production. It's something fans say and sometimes it's even true, but an athlete saying that? Wow. I do genuinely feel bad for Weeden. He seems like a nice person. He's just in over his head.

Yeah, that says a lot -- that he lacks confidence, whether he admits it or not. The impending sense of doom scenario, wherein anything one does that's good will be negated by bad luck, is just an ego-protective defence mechanism that makes his performance even worse. This usually does start in childhood, and may never be overcome.

LOL! He just proved that the issues are in his head. What could someone possibly do to make you hesitant to throw a pass beyond 5 yards? Could it possibly be that the football gods held his hands back while he was throwing? Did someone on the zone hex him?

This thread is going to be funny.

:facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm:

Worst thing is a player not even being accountable for his poor play and just make excuses.

Following the company line.

GM doesn't take accountability for his poor decisions. Head Coach never accepts responsibility for inability to make adjustments. Romo and Witten are few of current Cowboys that own up to mistakes.
