Loss - 49ers. The book on them: struggling team that is average at best.

Wins against:
Titans. The book on them: bottom of the barrel.
Rams. Average but surging somehow.
Saints. There entire existence this year is as joke.
Texans. Average but probably not that good.
Seahawks. Starting to right the ship. Primed to supplant cards due to Palmer injury. I think cards would have headed south anyway.
Giants. Pathetic team. Still made us sweat.

Our only losing streak this season:

Loss - Skins. Weeden actually gave us a shot in the game. Romo should have stayed out.
Loss - Cards. Weeden played like HE WAS SHOT. LOL

Win - jags. Nothing there. A bottom of the barrel team.
Win - giants. Again made us sweat. Late late adjustments. Poor coaching.

Loss - eagles. Not better. Just hungrier. They play like it. We don't.

Win - bears. Garbage team. Some diamonds. Good thing they are in disarray. Jay and coach gone soon.
We dodged an embarrassing bullet.

So, let's recap. We can beat a good team. We can get flat out embarrassed by a good team.

One dog is looking left and one dog is looking right... And the guy in the middle is saying... What do you want from me?

But seriously, somehow we are 9-4. That's all that matters... Until it doesn't.

Very objective and honest, I like the analysis..

We have guys stepping up calling players out, we still have somewhat of a fighting chance to see the postseason but don't have the Calvary, just foot soldiers mostly. 11-5 and 2 playoff wins would come as a huge Crow Taco for this fan...

if you would have written they played like it it we didn't. I would have agreed
play like it implies we're not an effort team and thats not true
that game we were tired

Saints aren't nearly as bad as their record suggests. I'd like to avoid having to go to NO in the first round if at all possible.

I don't want to play them in the Superdome until next year. After we get a chance to enhance our pass rush.

So in that vein of thought this Sunday, go Panthers ( lol I know).

I like how the Saints beat the Steelers and Packers, but our win over them is somehow worthless.

It's a week to week league. Some wins and losses are unexplainable. You play your schedule and at the end of the season it's either playoffs or watch it on TV like the rest of us.

Fact is, we put together a 6 game win steak.

That's the kind of thing Super Bowl winning teams do.

You know, winning 6 straight is VERY difficult to do in this league- I don't care who you're playing against. The Cowboys deserve oodles of credit for that streak.

Now that I think about it, I wonder where that ranks among the longest winning streaks this season.

Yes.

Maybe we have already started a 7 game win streak vs the bears? Heh heh

im ok with the SF, Zona, and Philthy losses.....considering the circumstances of each game......I cannot get over the Skins loss. We win that game, and we are in the catbird seat for the division and wild card.....that one loss may end up costing us huge.

still, if the seahawks win this week and we run the table, we win the division, end up 12-4, and get a first round bye....unfortunately, it looks like the road the SB may go through Lambeau....

I don't think there is any question that the Cowboys benefited from a favorable schedule this year, and that has allowed for some wins, confidence, etc. That said, I don't think they really squeaked by a lot of those poor opponents either. They destroyed Tennessee, came back to thump St. Louis, destroyed Jacksonville, destroyed the BEars, etc. Washington and NY are division games - it stinks but it happens.

What's important is that they continue to play the best they can and see what happens this season, and focus REALLY hard on improvement in the offseason. They will have a much tougher schedule next season.

This is the NFL, the best of the best players. It's a week to week league, and anything can happen. And guess what, a win is a win, they all count the same especially come january when you're counting up the win totals.

Dallas has beat the teams they should beat. Good teams do that.
It's time for them to do what good teams do in December, heading into playoff time, and that's turn the intensity up a notch. Do they have the personnel & coaching ability to play at that next level? We'll see as it all starts a week from Sunday in Philly. Was this season just lightning in a bottle or is this a new sustainable identity? Do they want it enough? This next game will lock my opinion of this team & season firmly into place.....
Win and I think Garrett-top & Co have truly turned the corner. Lose I think they've just had some really lucky bounces go their way, all the while masking a horrific defense and less than stellar head coach...
