With 6 takeaways the offense only came up with 3 points off the first 3 that's not acceptable. If the defense keeps getting chewed up through the air they're going to need several takeaways each week to win games. The only thing that got the Giants offense off the field was the turnovers. They were their own worst enemy. The Cowboys should have won in a blowout with 6 takeaways and 2 defensive scores. It's the mediocre teams that can't handle big leads we saw that with the Cowboys, Eagles and Chargers. The Cowboys and Eagles were lucky to escape not so for the Chargers. The Cowboys still have a ways to go to be a good team. Had NE forced 6 turnovers and scored 2 defensive scores they would have buried the Bills. Buffalo looks like they've improved and NE doesn't look as good with the loss of Welker and several other players. The Cowboys are a puzzling team. I don't know how any team could only win by 5 points with 6 takeaways and 2 defensive scores especially at home.
As for the Cowboys offense it didn't look all that great they only managed 330 yards with all the extra opportunities they got from the takeaways. The only thing I was pleased with on Sunday was the takeaways and thought the OL played pretty well. Other than that the Cowboys have issues that have to be corrected or they'll hover around 500 again. They have to face Eli again in NY along with Peyton, Brees, Rivers, Cutler and Rodgers. Philly won't be a pushover with their fast paced offense and in another month when the Cowboys face Washington RG3 should be back in the groove. What I saw on Sunday from the Cowboys isn't going to get it done this season unless they can come up with several takeaways each week.
