*Disclaimer* This is not a Troll post…..Saints fan here that comes in peace with a realistic breakdown of the Saints and Cowboys.

Offense:

QB edge: Saints, Brees is a legit MVP candidate and the best deep passer in the league. Romo is a product of a system and the talent around him and will probably come crashing down to earth this weekend. agreed for now

WR edge: Saints, Coltston is just a rookie and was the steal of the decade, Horn is a consistent veteran and Henderson is a player on the rise. TO and Glenn are average and past their prime but still dangerous. Terrell and Terry "average" but your rookie and vet whos broken 1000 receving yards 4times in 11 years are great? pfft. Edge Dallas

TE edge: Cowboys, Witten is a top 5 TE period, we still need help at the position agreed

RB edge: Saints, Bush and Deuce…..possibly the best 1-2 punch in the league. Jones and Barber are pretty good too though.push, honestly, they are pretty much the same, scat backs (jj and bush) and bruisers (baby deuce, thats not an insult by the way its what me and my friends call him cuz of his fat face0 and mb3)

Oline edge: Saints, a rock solid group that has been the key to our big play offense. Dallas oline still suspect from what I’ve seen as Romo's mobility has been able to mask the problem. push

Fullback edge: Saints….does Dallas even have one??? agreed

Now for the defense…….

DE edge: Saints, Grant and Smith are consistent with rushing the QB. Losing Greg Ellis has hurt the Cowboys pass rush. Dallas, has a 3-4 and our Ends do their jobs...and psst..greg ellis was a olb ;))

DT edge: Saints, Hollis Thomas slightly better than Ferguson despite the recent problems. Fergie and Thomas are the same to me, big fat 2 block taking guys so, push

LB edge: Saints, we are loaded with young talent (thanks for fujita and shanle who lead the team in tackles) and simoneau is a rock solid veteran. Ware and Carpenter have been busts for Dallas. Dallas by far. Ware a bust? Carp hasnt been able to break the rock solid lb core we have. Advantage Cowboys by far

S edge: Cowboys, Roy Williams is overrated but still better than what we have. yeah leauge leading safety in takeaways...its jus luck right? agreed

CB edge: Cowboys, Newman is a decent player but Henry isn’t that good in coverage, still better than our secondary. Newman decent? man you are way off base but agreed

Special Teams:

Edge: Saints, you have the better punter, but we have a great kicker and return game our punter could break a nfl record that has been standing for about 45 yards

Coaching:

Edge: Saints, Sean Payton proving that Parcells success was a result Paytons offensive genius. Parcells is the vet, Payton is the rookie. advantage Vet

Prediction for this weeks game:

Saints 38 Cowboys 17

Drew Brees is playing on a whole different level right now and no defense in the league is capable of stopping our offense. Romo’s metoric rise had to end sooner or later and Cowboy fans will learn why the Saints are an entirely different animal than the Bucs or Cards. The only advantage Dallas will have in this game is exploiting or subpar secondary if Romo has time to throw the ball. Expect a lot of pressure from our LB as they know your team very well, also expect Payton to expose Romo and force him into big mistakes.

Go Saints!
red me :) score cowboys 41 saints 13

Actually I saw both games against the giants and he was a turnover machine in those games.....if an average defense depleted by injury can cause those type of problems for him, what do you think ours is going to do?

Because of you, I am now reconsidering my stance on public flogging...

So much for goodwill towards Saints fans, Louisianians are more pleasant when they aren't sober. I suppose the most sobering thing to come will be their crushing defeat in Dallas.

I'm speachless. Better to not speak and have everybody assume you are an itiot than to open your mouth and confirm it!

ps Ask that Jugernaut offense of the Ravens how AVERAGE your D is! This just in...The Ravens just scored again!

Ravens > Cowboys.....so it's not really a valid comparison

We also held Peyton Manning to 14pts

I wish all of you saints fans go back to your trash can of a team and forum - you have no trophies in all the years your franchise has played this wonderful game. Until you fools win something big, you don't deserve to step in a forum of greatness.

Your team will NEVER make it to the super bowl, whether you win Sunday night or not. Just go away!!

Go Saints!

OMG are you serious!?!?!
The talent level in Dallas is so far superior that its not really funny.
There was a reason that Payton tried to get half of our players and took our castoffs (guys that couldn't crack the lineup on our team), Shanle, Fujita, Copper are starters in NO and some of your best players, in Dallas they couldn't even get playing time this year.
I could spot you a very slight edge in Brees, passrush, coaching, and RB, but that's it. The rest of the positions are simply landslide Dallas advantage.

WR: you're joking right? a rookie and Joe Horn are better than TO and Terry Glenn. Your WRs as a tandem or corps wouldn't rank in the top 8 while ours is probably top 3. And TO and TG are still just about as good as ever. Crayton is pretty darn solid too.

DT: Ferguson vs whomever is backing up Hollis :laugh1:

You can't be serious about Ware being a bust. You've obviously never watched him play. He's not as dynamic as Merriman, but he's one of the most complete players on defense in the entire league.

LB: You can't be serious. Shanle and Fujita over Bradie James, Ayodele, Ware, and Singleton? Shanle was going to get cut and Fujita would be backing up Ayodele and probably not see much time. Castoffs in Dallas, starters in New Orleans....hmmm

OL: not sure there is much difference.

You can't possibly think that we will only score 17 points. The lowest point total we've put up since Romo has taken over was 19 and that was because TO dropped an easy TD and Vjerk got a FG blocked. The Saint's defense was sketchy to begin with and now they will be missing several of their best players. I find it hard to believe that we will score less than 30 points against one of the worst defenses we've faced (other than Tampa) since Romo took over. The Saints may put up some points against us and it will probably be a tough game for us but I assure you Sean Payton would trade the Saint's roster for ours in a heartbeat. We are flat out more talented, and it isn't that close. I give much respect to Payton for their success because I really don't think the Saints are very talented in general.
The fact still remains that when we played in preseason, we made the Saints look like a high school team. Now the Saints have gotten better for sure, but really not THAT much has changed. I can see a close win for Dallas or a landslide win for Dallas. The only way the Saints win is if we turn the ball over 3 or more times.

Saints at home crushed by Ravens, Saints on the road defiled by Cowboys. You see both teams are Super Bowl contenders, i realize the Super Dome has hosted many of them but you had to watch other teams play in them, the Cowboys actually have won Super Bowls at both the Super Dome and at Tulane, can the Saints say as much?

You've obviously never been to a college football game in Baton Rouge. I HATE Louisiana and all that is incorporated within. Nothing but a bunch of drunk backwater Cajuns who make the jive talkers from the movie "Airplane" look like Harvard grads. They are almost as bad as E-Girls fans when it comes to classlessness.

I would not bother responding to the troll who started this thread. He is an idiot and the poster knows that he/she is being an idiot.

Are there no decent Saints fans to converse with???

These trolls kill me. Teams like Indy come in here and think they are just going to fling the ball all over the place, ask Indy how'd that work out?

These 3rd world teams like the saints, I don't even like saying that name, that franchise is so inferior to the great COWBOYS, it's laughable. All the saints fans can go back to whatever swamp they crawled out of, and prepare to watch a dynasty once again.

I don't understand why you Cowboy fans are so confident?   You have a good team, but you're no powerhouse. You'll make the playoffs but will be bounced in the first game you play because of Romo's lack of big game experience.

This isn't your grandfathers Saints team coming to Dallas this weekend boys and girls and primetime is the perfect stage to show the entire world that the Saints are ready to come marching in all the way to Miami baby!
