As far as Pettiti breaking out, it's really a crapshoot. I don't think we can rely on him to do anything after last season. It's nice to assume he'll be suddenly ready in '06, but why take that chance when better options are available?

I dont' think Pettiti's rookie year is how the rest of his career is going to turn into, most rookie OTs tend to struggle as it is the 2nd hardest IMO, position to transition to, college to the pros, and besides that, Parcells will do everything in his power to help him succeed

btw, I'm a big proponent of adding a veteran RT in free agency for competition

Putting one TE split out in a 4 wide set is a totally different thing than a two TE set.

Again, who is using a two TE set to create mismatch problems for defensive coordinators across the league?

and a 2-TE set is to confuse the opposing D, so that they don't know if it's going to be a run or a pass, so it would be kinda of foolish to put 2 pass-catching TEs, NORS

Bledstud is more mobile than you think, he is a threat to run the QB draw or naked bootleg from 10 yards out in the redzone simply because defensive coordinators don't respect statues. So don't be surprised to see new wrinkles added to his offensive repetoire soon.

And what is this nonsense about his pocket awareness? Drew has always been a savvy playmaker in the pocket, but when the defense constantly manhandles the offensive line in front of him there's not much he can do.

Also I can assure you that his vision and hearing are very keen. It's scary because Bledstud knows what defenders are thinking, that is what makes him such an assassin on the gridiron!

Stud TE's can both catch the football and block. You have not seen talent Sans Witten that can do either. Sad - but we are going to fix that!

At least he's not in denial. We need a RT. Some posters beleive that Pettitti is going to be solid next year. I hope their right because we don't have alot of options.
