There won’t be many people in here that are here to enjoy the moment and rightfully so. We are here for one reason and one reason only and that’s to win the game.

The only thing I’ll enjoy is a win.

Not good stats or good individual play or any other junk like that. All that matters is winning.

Coach is right. This is about as good as it gets this era under our ownership. Enjoy a playoff game . It’s only our 8th season this Century we made it.

If they play fantastic and get beat cleanly, I could tip my hat to that & be satisfied that its the nature of sports.

If they don't play well, then no, a playoff appearance by itself doesn't do much for me.

The whole point of the season is to improve & be playing high level football in the playoffs. I need to see them utilize their fullest abilities.

Days like today bring family and friends together. Living an hour from Pittsburgh but a lot of people in my area get jacked for a Cowboys playoff game. Lol! But luckily for me I indoctrinated(more like brainwashed) some of my family so I have my own Cowboy crew to watch the game with. And it’s the coming together of family, sharing good food and good times that makes today so special. A win would be the icing on the cake to the memories being made day. So to all you Cowboys families out there enjoy your day and Let’s Go Cowboys!!

my goal for this team before the season was for us to make the playoffs. I had predicted a 9-8 to 10-7 record. I thought making the playoffs would be a great big step given last year. I thought if we end up winning a playoff game would be a big huge improvement and step in the right direction. To host a playoff game as the 3rd seed is great. now, I am not lowering my expectations. I want a win. I want a win real bad. I think this was the toughest match up for us. if we pull this, I think the second game is a little easier actually even if we have to go to Tampa. Dak told tom, we see you in playoffs. lets make it happen
I vividly remember Dak telling Tom they’d see him in the playoffs. What a story this could be.

Yup.
Just officially changed my mindset this year.
No longer a strong believer in so called windows of success.
Now I definitely go by the each present year is entirely different from the past or future year so when that rare Cowboys playoff opportunity presents itself, you better win some games.

This is only the Cowboys 8th playoff appearance in the 2000s, so the feeling of not being in the tournament is very familiar.

I guess I'm still spoiled from the 20th century. Simply getting into the playoffs isn't cause for a lot of celebration. How about doing something this time?
If the team were a wild card team on the road expected to lose, played well, and came up short then I could swallow a tough loss. If the team squanders home field advantage in the wild card round, it won’t leave a good taste.

Those of us who saw Tom Landrys boys win 20 playoff games and Jimmy’s playoff teams win with regularity became somewhat accustomed to always progressing through these first rounds or beyond

Those Johnson teams took several tries to do that. Hopefully we win, but as important is we get there in continuing years to claim # 6 & 7

Nope, I disagree to a point. I believe there is a large following of "enjoy the journey, one game at a time, just happy to make the playoffs types here."

And when another rare playoff opportunity is squandered, the fan base that had higher expectations of playoff sucess will be criticized here yet again for not having enjoyed the journey and find another team or not being a true fan.

It's like death and taxes. Not if, but when. The FanHood Regulators here, lol.
