Nearing kickoff, getting anxious and a little nervous. Been avoiding all the pregame shows on purpose so I don't over analyze the game.

Pacing around all morning and day....kickoff can't get here soon enough so I can finally exhale.

I half considered DVR'ing the whole thing and waiting until it was over, look at the final score, and watching the game.

I know -- lame right? As I get older the intensity of emotion during the game is less and less fun.

In the end I decided, as I always do, to watch it live.

Funny you say that. The older I get the less emotional I get over football games. My son (14) goes crazy during the games, which is definitely distracting.

Go Cowboys!

Not lame at all - I was going to do that until my wife invited people over for the game.

Eh, I'm not really all that nervous. Not expecting a Super Bowl victory even though I feel we match up against Green Bay and Atlanta better than Seahawks and Giants. Just don't have faith in rookie QBs going to the big dance.

So, just going to sit back and see what happens. Rodgers has been choking in the playoffs in recent years so this is not a surefire L for us.

I know exactly what you're talking about. I've actually had to make the conscious effort to try and care less. It was getting to the point where I was just getting too worked over by stress in these games. lol

My wife used to invite others over for big games until she realized that her normally social, conversational, and welcoming husband became an emotionally unstable wreck that descends into something close to Tourettes syndrome -- liable to scream horrible profanities in front of child and adult alike without any semblance of control...

that's weird I have that same feeling. I have actually done that to half of the games this year and then wait until Monday after work to put in my two cents of what happened in the game.

Wishing I did the same thing.

By the way, Zeke is laying in the end zone texting during warmups while the Packers are uniform and discipline.

In case you missed it!

Definitely don't watch the pre-game stuff. I found myself analyzing the looks on faces of both teams and reading into them. Turn the channel and breathe.......yes.
