I half considered DVR'ing the whole thing and waiting until it was over, look at the final score, and watching the game.

I know -- lame right? As I get older the intensity of emotion during the game is less and less fun.

In the end I decided, as I always do, to watch it live.
That's funny because I was thinking the same thing. I should just go to a movie and then check the score later. It would definitely be better for my blood pressure. In fact I did just that last year when the Steelers played the Bengals in the playoffs

It's not lame actually. Depending on the sport, I still do this because my BP spikes and it doesn't feel too good. If it's basketball or baseball I always DVR it. Something about the pace of those two sports drives me nuts. Football is just....different. I love it, and have been a Dallas fan since 1978 but in the end we are playing with house money. Most of us didn't think we'd win more than 9 games and that was when Romo was healthy. He got hurt and everyone thought 4-6 wins. Well, we've won 13 and so it's all gravy at this point frankly.

I'm settled on the fact that I'm not going to be right until the 2nd half clock says 00:00 in a WIN... because it's Rodgers, no lead is really safe today.

Weird feeling, and ultimate means nothing... but no part of me even registers the season could end today. At all.

My daughter asked "if we lose, no more football til next year?" And I was thrown off for a second because it doesn't even feel possible.

Yep, like I said if it's baseball (huge Cubs fan since 1976) then I simply can't stand it. I taped all the playoffs and World Series games and checked the scores throughout on my phone. But as I said in my other post: just something about football (college and pro) that I typically can't DVR it.

Winning a close game is exhilarating but I would be just as happy taking a two score lead early and never looking back!

Watching pre game. Grandchildren going crazy after their parents got home from running the Houston Marathon.
I'm about to fine a room with a lock on the door. Lol.
