Breer on a potential Cowboys curveball

The name that a couple of people brought up to me here as a potential curveball is North Dakota State OL Grey Zabel. Yes, this would be a little early for Zabel. But he’s considered a pick that’s safe like Duke C Graham Barton was a year ago, and Barton had a very solid rookie year for the Buccaneers. Everyone seems to like Zabel, and I’d bet he won’t make it out of the teens, so this isn’t too much of a reach.

Zabel is an OG imo. I dont see him playing OT in the NFL

To build on this, one of the games I watched to evaluate him was the Senior Bowl, where he was coached by NFL coaches with the intent of projecting his potential as an NFL player. He played two positions during the game; RG & Center.

Since this is todays hot rumor thread I did you guys a favor and listened to Cavanaugh and Broaddus so you didn't have to suffer through it. The latest from Broaddus is Jalon Walker is a fall back back in case the draft doesn't fall how they want. At 44 RB is not in his words "in pen" so they could wait. He is hearing medical issues might negatively affect the draft stock of Alfred Collins and Derrick Harmon. Cowboys do like Josh Simmons but thinks if they pick a Linemen will be Booker.

Broaddus said Booker is more likely than any of the other linemen to be drafted if the Cowboys decided to go that way in round one. Broaddus claims to have more information so you will hear more stuff tomorrow and Wednesday. I expect to hear a bunch of names connected to the Cowboys before the draft.

I still believe they want to trade down for a better salary slot and to get at least an extra 3rd. So that would put more players on their radar.
