The fatal playoff flaw was not a lack of a pass rush. That was there but it wasn't fatal. It was our gender fluid head coach coaching scared and giving his team a spa vacation before the postseason. They started slow as a result and couldn't overcome it.

You were warned of this ahead of time.
Agreed the time off killed or momentum, we were totally out muscled in that first half. We should have rolled GB.

IMO, Irving is proving that he isn't a legit starting DE...you get to the point where you get some success so let's go and use a banned substance (idiot)...his flashes in the pan hopefully are going to more than be made up for 4 games (let's even say 6 games so he can get in game shape) if the rest of the DL can stay healthy....Marinelli has always wanted a strong rotation and, given that elusive "health", I think the DL unit, there are going to be guys applying pressure on most downs....sprinkle in read-option blitzes by CBs and LBs (hello Jaylon) and I think this defense is going to apply much more pressure this season...that can ONLY be possible with the DBs being able to cover for an extra 2 seconds or so and that is why they drafted guy that cover well

looking forward to September

NBA hot stove is incomparable to the NFL.

LOL, small minds are what allowed Jimmy upend a stodgy NFL and create a dynasty from a dump fire in just five years. And you obviously haven't a clue as what Morey did, Because purchasing non guaranteed contracts to include in a trade this size plus creating cap space has never been done before. It's thinking out of the box and the mentality is win now while best player is still in his prime.

And only people without imagination or sense of opportunity are unable to fathom comparisons. There is no perfect like to like comparisons but there is much to glean from successful organizations no matter the league or sport.

Not sure where you got the personal attack. They're different leagues. If you think the idea of a Myles Garrett trade to Dallas is an example of me having a small mind, well you might need an adjustment of your tin foil.

Oh, people fathom; it's just the comparison sucked. :rolleyes:

What Morey is doing in NBA is far from the norm, it is trendsetting. Similar to what Jimmy, Landry and other pioneers did to change football. Thinking out of the box is always ridiculed at first. Sheep or shepherd, your choice.

would that apply to Von Miller and his early career suspensions due to substance abuse also?

Irving's suspension is the 1st 4 games, can not see how losing an inconsistent pass rusher for 4 games is that big a deal?

Thank you, I was going to post something about that, but decided to read a little further.
As much as Irving seems to have an upside, and I believe most fans are pulling for him. He was inconsistent but getting better. He had a few standout games and performances, but nothing really great or even good from game to game.
I do believe a full off season and TC going into this year, and knowing more what is wanted from him, we would see if he deserves a long term contract. But now with the suspension, we will see how he rebounds from it. and hopefully only takes a few games to start seeing some consistency.

Please note: 2017: Chicago/ Minnesota trade; Indiana/ Oklahoma City;

Morey isn't doing anything new under the sun. Trades for big names. Remember the Lakers super team (Shaq, Kobie, Malone, Payton)? Remember perennial off season champion Washington Commanders? The Philly Eagles super team?

The only thing bigger than the hype was the resounding thud when the games were played.

Keep on keeping on. Somebody's got to believe the hype.
