Teams will be gunning for him. It's not going to be hard to cause a more serious injury to a rib when blitzing LB'ers will be putting the crown of their helmet right into his side.

This is just a setup so if he sucks this year....it's the rib....if he has a good year...the rib wasn't a factor...until he loses in the playoffs.......

Yeah he has that story saved on his pc. Just the teams name, date has to be changed.

:lmao2:

Do we? Cool I hadnt looked yet. Thanks :)

No. I mean the Packers.

Brett has made this about him vs the Packers. The Packers WANT to hit him. One player said it the other day.

I think Brett will regret coming back after either game 1 or 2 vs the Packers. He has made it personal, not business.

They will draw up some special blitzes for him I am sure. And they should.

This year Favre will not make it thru the season. He will get hurt, be non productive or both. While his vendetta runs deep against the Packers (that he caused) I believe the one record he wants is the consecutive start start and he is about 12 games short of that. I don't think he will make it.

I don't know if he will make it to opening day. He has not had any significant offseason training and he walks into the startign job of the NFL. Childress should be fired for that decision alone. No competition, just give it to a 40 yrs old Diva that bombed the last 7 games of the year and had shoulder surgery. What an idiot. I hope Minny resigns Childress to a lifetime contract.

Brett Favre told ESPN before the Minnesota Vikings' game on Monday that he suspects he may have a cracked rib.

Favre hasn't had an official diagnosis, but he says taking a deep breath causes discomfort. The 39-year-old quarterback isn't listed on the injury report and no other other Vikings official mentioned the injury pregame.

The three-time MVP says he has no plans to wear any kinds of special padding, saying "the damage is done." Favre is expected to play the entire first half against the Houston Texans.

Favre, who signed a $25 million deal with the Vikings on Aug. 18, completed just one pass for four yards over two series in his Minnesota debut just days later.

This guy.

I honestly think he came back to retire mid-season. He doesn't think enough people cared when he hung em up after last season.

This way he'll go out with a bang.

I said that he was going to break down at week 12. Didn't know it was going to take one preseason hit to crack his ribs. Man, he's fragile. I'm glad. The Vikings are going 7-9 this year.

Sorry to hear that.

I looked forward to beating a healthy Bret Favre in the playoffs.

Love watching the guy play when he is not playing the Boys.

aren't the cowboys one of the only teams he has never beat? or maybe never beaten on the road?

Favre already owns the record for consecutive starts by a QB. He owns it by just over a 100 starts with Peyton Manning second on the list now. Jaworski used to hold the record.

Borrowing from howaboutthemcowboys and from one of my packer friends at a Packer website I came up with this timeless photo
