I know but I think he is 12 games short of teh all time player record by one of the Viking linemen, can;t remember the name.

Okay. You are thinking of Jim Marshall.

# NFL record 282 consecutive games played by a Defensive End
# NFL record 270 consecutive starts played by any player

That is from wiki, but it doesn't make sense. I believe it is the 282. Favre is at 269 right now.

This guy is the biggest head case ego maniac in sports. Cracked rib with no diagnosis? Cracked rib, but you don't wear protection for a game? Cracked rib but the coach knows nothing about it and asks the reporter if it looked like to her that anything was wrong with the player in practice?

He's just doing the same thing he has done for years, trying to make himself look like a hero.

I know some on here love the guy, but I just don't see it.

A few vicodins and he'll be ok
That, and he should be eligible for some free Prilosec OTC for the heart burn that ESPN gives him.

Probably something blown out of proportion. I'm sure he felt like he did after one of those hits.

This year Favre will not make it thru the season. He will get hurt, be non productive or both. While his vendetta runs deep against the Packers (that he caused) I believe the one record he wants is the consecutive start start and he is about 12 games short of that. I don't think he will make it.

I don't know if he will make it to opening day. He has not had any significant offseason training and he walks into the startign job of the NFL. Childress should be fired for that decision alone. No competition, just give it to a 40 yrs old Diva that bombed the last 7 games of the year and had shoulder surgery. What an idiot. I hope Minny resigns Childress to a lifetime contract.
hey your franchise is the one that chose to let him go after a 13-3 season and an appearance in the NFC championship game.

yes they did after he retired, and after they gave him the chance to come back and he said no thanks, and well after they moved on with Rodgers.

Besides that championship game was probalby the reason they were happy he retired. I know the rumors were that game proved to MM and Ted Thompson that they could not win a championship anymore with Favre at QB. Packers made the right decision. Rodgers if he stays healthy will be a very good QB and at this stage can give superior production to teh Packers.

If Favre would have not retired or would have come back early on when he was talking to the coach about it, Favre would have been welcomed back. His wishy/washiness and finally the meeting with MM when he said he did not know if he could commit 100% to the Packers made up managements mind.

This picture of the Championship Game was the final nail. No pressure,.Grant Wide Open, another Wr wide open, the WR to the left also wide open and Driver covered like a blanket. and where did he throw it. Too cold and too old. Thanks for the memories Brent....
