Minn choose to put themselves in this limbo. It was no secret that Brett would mull over this as he has the last 3 or 4 seasons but Minn choose to roll the dice and stand pat at the QB spot.

The word limbo has a totally new meaning to me these days

Good news for us in general (one less threat to deal with) but bad news for us and anyone else if Green Bay sails through the season and secures home field advantage. You don't wanna play there in late January.

He had a surgery on his ankle to play next year. My guess is that his ankle isn't coming around or he is having other physical issues. All signs were that he was planning on coming back.

Looks like Brett Favre may be an "iron man" in the way he avoids serious injury and plays with pain, but at the end of the day he still has the healing and recovery process of a 42 year old.

I'd rather play in Lambeau than the Metrodome. I think the home advantages dome teams have is one of the most under reported stories in pro football.

Not on their website so this must be "breaking news". LOL I wonder when he comes out of retirement?

The last week of training camp.

When was the last time a team beat the best at their best to win a SB?

Arguably NYG-NE, but IMO that was fluke luck, not a "beating".

1992-93 Cowboys vs the Bills Noth were #1 seeds

There were at least 6 HOF players on each team.

The Saints game last year proved we can deal with noise, but I'm not so sure about bitter cold.

I hope this is true. Favre is like a cockroach, he just won't die easily.

Why would guys look on this as good news?

I want to beat the best at their best.

Save that bull****, dude.

Our schedule is tough enough as it is. I won't shed one tear for a weaker opponent for a week.

The day Vikings training camp closes is the day you can put any stock in Favre retirement rumors.

I'd rather see him comeback with a bum ankle and fail miserably with Dallas stomping them to get their revenge anf then the vikings not even making the playoffs.

That certainly helps. I don't see how he could have that good a season again.

The QB who cried wolf. At this point, most people probably will not care until he isn't on the field for the first game.
