That is just to give him something to do while the jet warms up for the trip to Hattiesburg.

He was going to be a grandfather this year.

With that said, he's still better than half the QBs in this league.

God forbid, if Romo ever went down, I'd hope Jerry would fly out to Armadillo country and try to lobby a rusty Favre over Brad Kitna.

Looks like all day today is going to be an ESPN Favre jock slobber fest. I reckon we'll see a few montages also. :bang2:

If they are doing that then they are not ragging on the Cowboys.

Got out before his old team passed up his new team.
GB will win that division...and may have with Favre playing.

I wasn't aware he actually ever retired a first time. After all, doesn't retirement actually have to involve not playing?

Heres a thing. Why would he call it quits now? To help the Vikings? He doesnt care. To me, this is about getting the attention. This has been a quiet summer in the Favre watch and this is him giving us what he thinks we want.

I say he comes to the rescue sometime between week 1 and 5

:laugh2:that would be great, well not Romo going down, but Favre coming here. It would be an epic meltdown.

He'll be back before the season finishes.

He's taking this to the next level and want's to pull a Roger Clemens. Play half the season type of stuff.

Because he apparently had a pretty serious ankle surgery and 42 year olds don't back quickly from major joint surgery.

Brad Childress pretty much just said "I dont know if he will be back or not. I know he text messaged his teammates but not me. Until I hear it from the horses mouth I don't know anymore than you guys. I dont know that he has made a decision yet".

According to my cousin who is a huge vikings fan, this was already scheduled, it's his normal Tuesday training camp P.C. But NFL network aired it bc of brett.

He is just an attention *****. It is beyond "getting old".

Personally, I don't care if he retires. I think he is among many overrated QBs of all time.

I will give him props for his durability in spite of the drugs.

Brad Childress: "He's got to feel like he can jump all in. He's not a half-baked guy."

:laugh2:

As much as the drama is deplorable, you have to fault the organization for allowing him to play out the charade every offseason.

If I was their ownership and head coach, I would be furious, legend or not.

As simple, country, and southern as Brett wants you to believe he is. He loves seeing his name all over the TV, he loves text messaging players in the league, and essentially is a borderline egomaniac.

I love the way he plays the game, admire his heart, and he's done something no other player will ever even think about doing.

He just wants people to beg him, text him, call him, etc - he does it every year.

But why announce it now? Why not wait and see if the surgery does what it was supposed to, let him play this year.

During the whole Favre-watch era when has he been hasty in his decisions?
