Brett Maher over Dan Bailey?

With all the Dak and Garrett Bashing I don't want this clown to get a pass. First pressure kick as a Cowboy. He hit the upright flags, wide right. Whoever came up with the idea to cut Bailey needs to punched in the face.

47 yards in the pouring rain.
Dan Bailey is still hurt.
I’m not happy with the cut but not freaking out just yet.

I mentioned earlier, Bailey had missed 5 (you heard that right, 5) FGs in his last 4 games...and his most recent attempt was a miss from 23 yards.
Bailey had a great run, but something was off.
He also tried out for the Jets recently but didn't get an offer.

Btw, that was no chip shot...but a very tough FG attempt. The stroke looked good...just missed by inches from 47 in bad weather, and had enough leg for another 10 yards easily.

Positive reinforcement y'all. This is the 21st century. We support each other when we fail!

I'm shocked Garrett didn't get him a gatorade and sit on the bench and put his arm around him and tell him it would be ok. :muttley:

LLLOOLLL, bet red pat him on the butt afterwards.

It's not like Bailey was automatic anymore before he got cut, so 1 miss by his replacement ( on his only attempt at a FG ) shouldn't be looked at like it's the end of the world & this guy is total garbage & we made a mistake of giving Bailey his walking papers. Give the guy a few games where he's kicking FGs ( & based on how we played this weekend, FG's may be the best we can do ) & if he's just completely blowing them, THEN you can get all crazy about it. Oh & the JG clapping after everything BAD happening, does get annoying quick.

It's natural to react that way since Bailey had been such a good kicker, but it's still just one kick and too early to call Maher a failure. I'm not saying this won't turn out bad for the Cowboys, but we need a bigger sample size to say that.

Even the Jets passed on Bailey.

Can we move on or what?

He isn't the same kicker since the Groin injury, why is this so hard to understand?

Spin spin spin spin spin

Not concerned. An excellent kicker might just cost the Cowboys the chance to pick even higher in the next draft.
