Well T.O. is Jerry's lap dog so i'm sure he talks about stuff with him. Maybe it has to do with a big time wide out and he wanted to make sure T.O. could coexist with the player he has in mind. As for Dieon Jerry always talks to him. He knew T.O. was comming to Dallas before T.O. knew T.O. was comming to Dallas.
Jerry even said himself he wants to get a WOW player on the O.

1. Chad Johnson
2. Roy Williams
3. Randy Moss
4. Darren McFadden

There are lots of players that might be seen as WOW players on O. I think we can rule out Chad because he won't be traded. We can also rule out Moss because he said he and T.O. wouldn't mix when he was with the Raiders. I think Roy Williams is a big possibility since he has already expressed intrest in going to a Texas team and McFadden as much as people hate to addmit it could also be the WOW player since Jerry has a huge man crush on the kid.
But out of everyone I think these 2 are the most logical with Jerry and the players track record.

I think once mcnabb was healthy again late in the year they were just as good as Dallas and NY.

I fully expect philly to draft well and make a serious run next year.

I see the same thing. They ended the season on a pretty good note. Several teams have done that the past year and carried over to the next year and had a great season. I do however believe that this will be their last run. Dawkins is right. They are getting pretty old back there. That said, I hope I'm wrong.:laugh2:

You're willing to say bye to a guy who could last us for a long time to a guy who's probably gonna retire within the next two years? Good job GM.

I'll never understand how everyone thinks all players, current and former, are fully informed of their teams' personnel plans and offseason intentions.

I guess Jerry Jones has informed you of the Cowboys pesonnel plans and offseason intentions. Let's hear your inside info.

I think if he was wrangling a trade, we'd hear about it by now. So I think Jerry's going big in either FA or the draft. The only WOW thing he can do in the draft is trade up for McFadden.

There are some big names in FA, I'm surprised Moss hasn't been either franchised or resigned yet, they have until Thursday for the former. Moss wouldn't fit well, so who else is there? Michael Turner is another guy, but not quite the same wow factor. Algae was just cut, Witten and Algae would be awesome together. But there's no way Jerry would know that beforehand. Asante and Nmandi would be big splashes. Jason Taylor is expected to be let go, so that's another one. Other than that, I can't really think of anybody.

If I HAD to put money on it, I would go with a big name corner (Asante or Nmandi) and McFadden. I don't think Jerry picking up a huge name at WR is going to pay dividends as much as he'd like because he'd be lowering Witten and TO's production by bringing in another target. So I think he'll try for a true #2 (help me with names here, the only ones I could think of was Berrian and Porter).

If Dawkins comes to Dallas he would play FS, so it would likely mean Roy and Dawkins, not dawkins in place of roy.

Which would be stupid. Hamlin played much better. Either way, both are traditional FS (Hamlin and Dawkins) so I doubt you'll see Dallas make a push for him. Square peg meet round hole.

The Roy Williams trade could be looming. THat is the only big splash I see. I really think we are going to stay put with our picks and take the players that are the best fit.

I wont be shocked if trade for roy williams though.

Yeah, that and a corner at #22 would significantly upgrade this team.

Absolutely.

We obviously will have another runner, maybe two. I hope they dont fall in love with someones speed at the combine, I hope they take a good running back. Not just a guy who can run.

I would be curious if lamont jordan were to be cut. A decent veteran at the right price and a good young back would be fantastic.

And if we find a way to get Roy Williams. We should be the most difficult team to defend in the redzone.

Maybe, he'd be a helluva pick-up for you guys. I know he's been vocal about wanting to come to Dallas but I haven't heard a peep from Detriot's FO.

This is what I'm hoping for at the RB position.

One solid veteran in FA and 1 draft pick to team up with MBIII.

I thought Wade said durring the season that he is very happy with the CB's we have? Why would we drat a CB in the 1st round? He also said he doesn't like drafting WR's in the 1st. So my thoughts are WR in 2nd CB in 3rd or later. If we don't move up in the draft to pick someone in the top ten we will most likely take and O line men and RB in the first. There is also the option to trade one pick for someones pick in next years draft.
