Brian Schottenheimer: The effort is right. The fight is right. Mistakes are killing us

We're at the point where this entire 'soap opera' of a team is nothing more than a joke. All I can do these days is laugh. Might not be a bad thing now that I think about it.

I no longer expect this to turn around.

As long as Jerry wants to play around with puppet coaches who work cheap, forget it.

He has success with Johnson and Parcells, who are in the hall. The rest were a very long joke.
Jerry is more than thrilled with status quo. As are the players.

Since Shotty hired as HC

Team 9-13-1
1-7 prime time games
Lowest 2 game combined points scored
7th lowest points scored thru 6 games in team history - this while NFL scoring up.
He stinks as a play caller. I’ve noticed when things go south he has that Dak blank stare going on. Maybe they can have another players meeting since the last one went so well.

The Cowboys are outcoached every week. The team is better than this, much better. The coaches is very sub par. But it is too late to fix it. There is no one to act as interim coach and no one they hire from outside to take over the team at this point. We have to live with this until next season. But I do think Jerry is going to fire the entire coaching staff at the end of the season.

The Packers D was missing a lot of talent from their front 7 and Shotty had little success exploiting that. I wonder if he knew?

This has been the case since Dak Prescott has been QB. It's the same complaint you heard in the Garrett years and the McCarthy years. We keep changing the OC but somehow the offense has no imagination.
Dak’s not smart enough to handle more.

They constantly dumb it down for him

Fish (responding to the above quote): "This can't be right. Did you see how many touchdowns the Packers dropped? I was 17-0 and it could have been 35-0."

Fans wanted to move on from Kellen Moore despite the fact that we had one of the top offenses while he was here. They complained about his red zone calls. Maybe the issue wasn't the OC but the QB. Maybe, Moore's playcalling in the red zone had to be vanilla and safe, because he knew Dak was incapable of executing certain plays. He goes to the Eagles as OC and they win the Super Bowl with a QB (Hurts) who I don't think is any better than Dak. Now as the coach of the Saints, he's making Tyler Shough look good

You also saw that when they tried to implement the WCO in McCarthy's first season. Ended up instead with a derivative of what we had, just with a new label slapped on for the Dak worshipers.

Does anybody actually listen to this bum, nepo baby, coach? i hated the hire when it was made and i was right
