get Brain Waters 6-3 #320 from KC sign him to one year mimium

He said he would like to play at least one more season.

"There are some good teams out there that have a chance to win the Super Bowl,’’ Waters said. "It’s just a matter of what opportunities come along.’’

Waters graded out as the 12th-best guard in football last season, per Pro Football Focus' ratings. He won't struggle to find a starting job as a free agent.

Starting Lineup:

LT-Free
LG-Kosier
C-Gurode – Costa
RG- Waters
RT- Smith

i'm for this one. I continue to think Holland is an out of shape player who gets hurt over and over because he is so fat. Waters for a year

Interstitial fluid of the cranial region?

Mmmm brain water... More nutritious than gatorade, tastes better than powerade!

He is the guy that Prisco mentioned whose name was being thrown around camp.

I'd be for it.

I'd actually be excited with that OL.

Sign me up for this one! The game is always won in the trenches! We need a RG!!

Texas native. He can also come back to end his career where it started - with the Cowboys. Not many folks remember that Waters was actually a TE for us in camp at the beginning of his pro career.

If he "won't have trouble finding a starting job as a free agent" then I'm not sure he will "sign for a one year minimum" contract.

Me too. This move plus Sensy and Elam would really solidify this roster. I could see Waters signing with the Giants and it pissing me off to no end. Kinda how this offseason is going (not that I don't appreciate the guys we have signed). 2 safeties and an OG - c'mon Jerry!

I think they need to move on this guy before someone else does. Kosier is vesatile enough to move over to the RG spot and be the 'security blanket' that the rookie Smith needs.

What about Derrick Dockery who was released by the deadskins in March?

He's younger and bigger than Brian Waters and is also a Texas native.

Before Shanahan's zone blocking scheme along, Dockery had started 7 seasons without missing a game.

Yeah, there's a lot of that goin' around on the boards these days...

I find myself hoping against hope that a few of them will find some brains... :D

Obviously none of those who want to bring Waters in have not seen him play lately. He is decent against the run but his pass blocking isn't good any more. There is a reason Kansas City cut him and it wasn't due to salary or the fact they stacked on the OL. We might need OL depth but I wouldn't turn to Waters.
