Imagine T.O., Terry Glenn, Crayton, Witten, Barber AND Westbrook on offense. Romo would be in fantasy land thinking of westbrook and what extra he could bring to the passing game.

Holy smokes ...darn it BrAinPaiNt ...you just took 5 years off this Eagle fan's life with that visual.;)

Here's what I could pull up on B-West ..the other demographics you
queried about are also listed ...

# 36 Brian Westbrook

Position: RB
Height: 5-8
Weight: 203
Born: 09/02/1979
College: Villanova
NFL Experience: 6
You're an Eagles fan and the only info you can supply on Westbrook was copied from NFL.com?

That's more like what an Eagles workhorse looks like.

Why did you post the text, which I highlighted in red, in white?

I can hear you saying injury proneness due to prior injuries; however, I'm not buying that concept as it relates to his height and weight. Not because I'm an Eagle fan, not because you're a Cowboy's fan - simply because his demographics has nothing to do with being "injury-prone."

You can get injuured anywhere on the gridiron, from the smallest player on up to the 300+ massive defensive linemen. Height is one thing, but Brian Westbrook has muscle mass, probably with a high percentage rate. Look at the following backs, then rethink what You're saying ...

Brian Westbrook - Running Back >>>5-8, 203

Emmit Smith - Running Back >>>5-9, 201

Barry Sander - Running Back >>> 5-8, 203

Tony Dorsett - Running Back >>>5-10, 192

I'm not buying into that negativity. Again, this has nothing to do with ...

The numbers on Sanders are dead on 5-8 203 through out his career.
Now we all remember watching Sanders and still see his highlights. He looks like a fireplug out there. He in no way resembles Westbrook. I would guess at least 10 pounds heavier.
Now we all agree Westbrook is a great player,
But I'm guessing he's a lot closer to 190 than 203.

I don't know where you got the 201, I've seen Emmitt listed between 209-216 through his career.

It's been 30 minutes and you still haven't posted anything else [edit: from another source] about Westbrook, soooo...

No reply about the white text, eh? :)

DE ...I'm a moderator on a different MB (technically on 2 MBs), regular member of 3 other mbs. I make my rounds through various NFL MBs and I try to remain consistent ...it's difficult sometimes trying to weed through the legitimate poster responses and the "head-hunters" that merely reply because they have something egregious to say about the team/fans they may hate.

that said, I will explain to you why the text reply was in "white" (that you changed to red) ...

As you so observantly observed the origin of the source upon which I obtained my data, the background text was in yet another color which was un-discernable and carried over into the Zone's thread. Realizing that flaw, I chose to switched to a "white" text hoping that it would contrast ...it did!

To save you some time, because I realize that my action must have created some level of concern for you, I am not interested in why you chose to change the color of text.

I bid you adieu.

Westbrook is one of the Top 10 backs in the NFL, and I think Tony Hunt is going to be a great compliment. Hunt is a great receiver out of the backfield for a guy his size. You can't automatically assume the Eagles are going to run the ball just because the "big back" is in.

I don't know if I would give him top 10 or not but I'd say top 15 without even investigating.

I am downgrading him some for the only 1 season of over 812 yards rushing for sure.

What he did last season was top 5 back worthy and looked a lot like Tiki Barber, i.e. pure dominance but it was the one season he has played at that level. But I disdain rating guys based on the high or low opinion of them and try to find an average rating for their recent career.

BP really liked Westbrook and thought he was Philly's best player.

He's pretty solid for a little guy. His shiftiness makes him surprisingly good between the tackles. I'll be honest, Westbrook probably scares me the most out of any back in the division, at least now that Tiki is gone.

Portis probably has a bigger name based on his stats in Denver and his pre game drag mascerade, but Westbrook all around is alot better.

Julius Jones scares me the most out of any back in this division...

:D

*ducks out of thread*
