This guy has the potential to be Laurent Robinson with more speed when Romo comes back.

Romo obviously makes everyone around him better, but let's hope Butler can contribute where he left off (no injuries) *literally knocks on wood*

Cassel and Butler aren't strangers. I'm certain they've had experience together in the past. At least we've got someone extra at WR that we haven't had lately to augment our passing game. Between Cassel at QB, C-Mike at RB and Butler at WR, perhaps our offense gets a much-needed boost this week.

Giants secondary is beat up,Not sure Cassell can throw it deep anymore but he should be able to throw some intermediary stuff.

Could he overtake Twill for that #2 spot? Does he have the talent and potential to do so? He's hands are good for sure! Does he excel at route running?

Sure. Make plays, 'cause Williams isn't as of now making them.

I like this guy and am hoping he can come through for us. He seems like a smart guy who can help this team win. He just might need a number change because that #19 is always hamstrung.

Yes, good interview.

He basically said the Pats stacked the Line against the run and tripled covered Witten.

He said even if the outside WRs are getting open it doesn't matter if they "don't do something". I took that as a subtle implication that they have been open but that Weed didn't get them the ball.

I'm on the Butler train also. And I've seen and read where Cassel will take some chances and will get intercepted. Maybe he will but they have to challenge the Giants downfield. Of course, If and when he gets intercepted, Then you'll hear that as a backup you can't turn the ball over but I'm going to throw up if I see a running back with 10 catches for 60 yards. Maybe I'm putting too much faith in a guy that's caught 1 pass but that catch was nice to see. If he plays good enough I would love to see him as the 2nd receiver when Dez gets back. That would almost take us all back to the Irvin and Harper days. Get Butler 2 or 3 long passes a game like Harper. I loved that duo but my train is starting to derail completely off the tracks. C'mon Cassel and Butler. Go beat the Giants

I think we're gonna love this guy when Romo's back. He's not a starter but I think he's a really solid #4. Him Dez, and Beasley would make a great 4 punch if we just had that other really good starter (not Terrence Williams.)

He's going to have to be that starter. I really doubt they waste resources on a WR given all the other holes on this team.
