The Boys havn't had much success since leaving St. Edwards.
I guess practicing in that intense heat paid off in the playoffs, hell I should know how hot it was, I was there almost everyday!!!
:D

On a side note,
I found this very interesting.

In fact, the NFL's passing yardage leader has never gone on to win the Super Bowl in the same season. For XLII consecutive years, the passing yardage leader has not been the quarterback to hoist the trophy as the Super Bowl concludes. Never. Maybe this year's Patriots will be the exception. But with passing-yardage leaders 0-for-41 at winning the Super Bowl, the odds seem to be against Brady.

I live in San Antonio and on the news yesterday they were reporting that the alamo dome is booked for a convention so they can not use it this year for training camp. They also said that the Boys had not yet finalized anything in Oxnard, so for this year that could be a possibility. I think there is still a contract with SA for 2009 and 2010.

When you look at it closely, that is not too surprising. Seems like teams with well balanced offenses are the ones that win it all. Teams that rely heavily on passing that they produce the league leading passer in terms of yardage only typically aren't well rounded offenses. That comes back to bite them once the post season rolls around.

The Patriots are a well rounded team even if they do produce great passing numbers.

Leading rusher used to be the same way. No league leading rusher was on a SB winner until Emmitt Smith and Dallas won SB27. Then he and Dallas did it two more times. Terrell Davis and Denver won it in 1998.

Thanks,
Still hurting but look forward to a great future for the Boys!!
To all of the Austinites who post here, we need to get together next year and have watch party's here in town.
Better yet, we need to rent a bus and head up to Texas Stadium one last time before we move into Trump Stadium!!!

All the interviews I've ever read/heard says that the players/coaches love being in Oxnard. Its supposed to be about as nice a place as you can be. I'd rather have happy players, and who would want to stay in Texas vs the coast of California? That's pretty close to paradise.

Well if any team can disrupt Brady's passing it's the NY Sack Exchange. Hope it's a close game like last time they met..

That's what everyone said last time and Brady only got sacked once. Granted, another on 3rd down was brought back cause of an unneccesary penalty that resulted in NE's only TD of the first half, but still.

NFL rushing leader never won a title until Emmitt knocked down that door.

I would settle for Austin again for TC, although the parking used to be BAD

Train at the Cotton Bowl?

I actually think that's an interesting idea.

Once the new stadium and surround complex is finished there is a good chance Dallas will hold training camp in the Dallas area.

I'd be all for that, I think we can all see the end results of "Camp Cupcake" in Dec! But there's probably more to the collapse than that IMO.

No air conditioning there, the players might get hot! :)
