Bring on San Francisco

I see no team in the weak NFC that is definitely a clear favorite over the Cowboys except that team (if healthy). I want the Cowboys to play SF when SF is healthy and playing their best ball. That win would be most satisfying win in a long time (not just pay back but big game significance).

Thankfully, SF does not have a Montana/Young type QB to actually be a Super team - just the best the NFC has to offer this year. I want an epic battle like the 1992 NFCCG for the team to graduate to NFC Super Bowl representative (both offense, defense, and special teams playing great).

Bump since the mods took a few hours to post.

Look I won’t take anything for granted with this team. Would I like to see them steamroll their way to the nfc title game… yes. But they never make it easy.

While SF is a tough place to play we’ve been there before…itll be loud and crazy atmosphere….. but it couldn’t be any worse than buffalo was on the road for us

3 loses in 20 months; pass, bring on anybody else
No way guys. It’s a rite of passage. The Cowboys were not supposed to win that 1992 NFCCG game. I can not be fully satisfied this postseason without seeing the Cowboys facing and defeating those demons.

Praying to face other teams is pretty weak. They represent the biggest challenge no matter how the game turns out. Becoming a true contender and champion means beating a great team (and there are none greater in the NFC this season).

None of us have any control over what's going to happen and who we're going to play.
We're in the post-season. That means we have a chance.
So, just sit back and enjoy or rue the ride.
Now ... HOW BOUT DEM COWBOYS!!!!!!!

Yea if we win a super bowl but don't play san fran you'll hold it against them. And that makes total sense to you, right?

I get your point, but this is not the 1992 team and this is also not the 90s nfl:…the game has changed and matchups are very important

DAL does not appear currently-equipped to play within double digits of SF, let alone beat them.

Assuming a continued upward trajectory, this team is still a season (and a few moving parts) away from realistic Super Bowl aspirations.

I'm totally fine with the 49ers Monkey staying on Dallas' back in return for them losing in the Divisional.

It'd be a very small price to pay for a better shot at going to the big dance.

Yes. Bring on the San Francisco 49er's. To be the man, you've got to beat the man. And I want them. The #1 seed in the NFC. This team needs that game. Gonna need these guys to be dawgs, no more Mr. Right Kinda Guys.

The only game SF truly dominated the Cowboys was Week 5 this year when the McCarthy offense was stagnant and simplistic. This is not the same team.

Like Rocky cutting Drago. Just takes one cut for the Cowboys to see that SF does indeed bleed too.

Dallas is able to score against any team...no mistakes doing it!

You cannot hold it against the team if they don’t face San Francisco, and still win the Super Bowl. However, I cannot imagine a more satisfying win on the way to winning the Super Bowl than beating San Francisco (and I imagine the enormous majority of Dallas fans feel the same way after the previous three matchups).

Exactly 17.333 PPG over the past 1-2 stretch involving teams considered “contenders.”

That ain’t going to cut it in the playoffs. Not even in a wildcard game.

No offense pal, this is Dak’s 8th season in the league and 4th with McCarthy. If they are not built to win now-it’s unlikely ever going to happen. Teams are not guaranteed to pick up right where they left off the previous season, and this is not a team building with a QB on a rookie contract.

I hope somebody bumps them out so we can get the NFCCG at Home, but does not seems likely to happen.
