Broaddus has narrowed down our pick options at 12

I don’t like drafting players who miss significant time due to injuries and slow 40 times at the position
Exactly. Johnson scares me. No way I want him at 12 or 44. He had one good year, and not even a full year. I'm out on him.

I'm to a point now where I ignore most of what Bryan Broaddus says. He's either running interference for the team and Will McClay, or he's grossly incompetent.

i do agree that he is a much better pass rusher than a LB but Georgia lined him all over the place and he still had more sacks than Williams this past season..I like Walker because of his versatility, the QB is always on a lookout for on where he is lining up.
When you say lined up, are talking about hands down on the line, or just rushing between different gaps?

I saw the latter with Walker. I would expect better pass rush production (just one more sack than Williams) from him as an EDGE versus Williams who’s more often than not playing with his hand down at the LOS.

This is said every year and they consistently fail to draft one.

Also, its not just about drafting a RB just for the sake of drafting one. We need an elite one, to take the pressure off our choke artist QB, a la Zeke in 2016.
Any RB taken in the 4th or later last year, would go undrafted this year. That's how deep it is. There will be good running backs in the available in the 5th and beyond..

The thing is, we generally alternate between defense and offence with our #1 picks. That would seem to indicate best defensive player available. Unless of course, Jeanty is there.

He's got it down to three positional options and 6 players.

WR (McMillan, Golden, Burden, Egbuka)
CB (Johnson)
DE (Williams)

16 minute mark of the video begins his long explanation.

I can't say I disagree with him. Other than maybe adding Barron and a trade down as options. RB is just highly unlikely at this point.

Man I hope if it's a wr it's McMillan otherwise I don't know that I would touch another WR there without trading down.

I guess I just can’t get the Ohio State and Washington games out of my head. He hand cuffed two top 10 receivers. If the Cowboys want Johnson they probably don’t want him to run. If he runs in the 4.45-4.5 range he won’t be there at 12.
Do you really want a 4.6 corner that lacks length and has 1 yr of production?

no, Jeanty is possibly great so you are incorrect.
There are probably at least 5-10 RBs in this draft better than good.
Semantics. When I say the others are just good, it's hardly being derogatory. What I meant was, there is a bigger gap between Jeanty and Hampton than there is between Hampton and the rest. So you don't pass up Jeanty. But history suggest they will be going defense.

Tet rams a 4.48. Probably closer to 4.55 since Pro Day #s are juiced.

Kiss him goodbye at 12! Golden has to be the fav now
I still think there's a chance he'll be there. He didn't get dinged for speed but he's also not breaking any records out there.

I'm not sure our team will go for Golden at his height.
