Actually I do have a clue about that. I could be wrong. But I highly doubt it. My track record is far too good predicting these things.

Wentz would be the 3rd or 4th QB taken if he was in last years draft class.

By ESPN and scout's ratings, this is true

97..Winston

93.Mariota

91..Wentz/Goff
.
86..Lynch
85..Cook

Rather have Elliott in a trade down and then a trade up back into the first for Lynch. I want and need that dominant run game from 2014 back.

Inasmuch as Wentz has not played a single down yet in the NFL, anyone who says he IS or is NOT a franchise QB is voicing their opinion. Works both ways.

That's true. However, when some say he has the potential to be a franchise QB and others make a guarantee that he won't be one is the difference and what I'm talking about.

Unless someone tards up, Wentz isn't taken until SanFran @ #7 or later. The hype surrounding a guy that was 2nd round up until about 4 months ago, suddenly sky rocketing to the 1st overall and someway now could be a better prospect than Andrew Luck, speaks for itself, I don't have to say anything.

Logically observing, there is only one Franchise Type in the 2016 NFL Draft and he's not Peyton Manning. If Dallas was going to take a Franchise QB in the 2016 NFL Draft, Jared Goff is the only one that matches the mold/description.

But even Goff rates far lower than the historical pre-draft rankings of top QBs
The QBs that rate the most similar to Wentz and Goff are guys like Henne, Locker, Bortles (which is ok), Clausen, G Smith, Bridgewater (also maybe ok), Brohm, Flacco (that works).
Those were not player that on draft day people were selling their soul (or much of their draft this year and next) to trade up to #1 for.

Guys like Ryan, Luck, and others rated so much higher.

yes, the rankings are always flawed, but its worth noting.

what was Romo's and Brady's rank?

That's why I always mention the flaws in the ratings because there are outiers. Of course, you saw that I mentioned that but felt obligated anyway, I see. Low hanging fruit . Btw, that argument is a pretty good one to use on NOT using a top 5 pick...as is Rbrees, Flacco, Roethlisberger, etc, etc, etc.

Except that Wentz is much better than Goff.

Yeah, a front office guy whose job is on the line if the Browns don't pick the right player is going to tell Broaddus who Cleveland is going to pick.
