I rarely agree with Broaddus, but he's pretty dialed in with this front office. He's good for inside info.

Broaddus is awesome. He does so much for Dallas Cowboys.com. He isn't going anywhere.

Agreed 100%. I won't even listen to the shows he is not on. He definitely got a little more homerish and unwilling to really be tough on players but generally he is the best guy on the site.

There, I said it. Multiple people have lamented the fact that no one is calling for the head of a middle aged guy. Well I am.

He should stop imploring people to watch the tape, because once you watch an all-22 game you realize how wrong this guy is about so many things.

His defending Free last year because he only had 4-5 horrific plays a game sealed the deal for me.

I can't listen to the shows he is on. And I'm so starved for Cowboys football that I'm on a forum on a beautiful Saturday afternoon!

What does his age have to do with anything? No reason to age shame an individual. Judge him by his content not by the osteoporosis in his bones. Micro-aggressions. j/k

I've always thought he was an asset. I don't watch talkin Cowboys, but when he's on the radio, does his reports or puts stuff on Twitter, I like his insight. I don't always agree with his opinion, but he's always been pretty good to me. He's definitely a behind the scenes tool that most teams don't have and I've never understood the hate he gets personally.

When Randy Galloway first made him into a media guy, it was interesting because he tried to talk about details that JJT, Calvin Watkins, etc. could not comprehend; however, now it's much different.

Tyrone Crawford would be a fan favorite as the 8th DL in a rotation making 600K but the Cowboys paid him 9 million per to be a high level starter.

Some of the local sports radio guys are always a step ahead of him in that regard. Wherever he get any info they seem to get the info first.

Like i said im 44 years old. I have been a Cowboy fan my whole life but i can promise u that he has forgoten more stuff about football than we will ever know and all of us foe that matter. That does not mean we have no idea what we are talkimg about but come on people.

"he has forgoten more stuff about football than we will ever know" That is just a throwaway line. You cannot prove it and it is nothing more than mindless fluff.

He has some nice anecdotes from being at GB and Dallas mostly boiling down to how he was wrong on various evaluations. He knows some of the scouts but it has borne out they treat him like a mushroom so that is not reliable when he invokes them. He understands OL and to a lesser extent DL technique but he has been wrong about so many of them over the years it's pointless to pay his evaluations any heed. Parnell, Weems, Bosa. The list goes on. He will crow about Frank Clark ad nauseum as if it wasn't him beating women that dropped him.

When it comes to any other position he doesn't know technique. He will say "they aren't using their technique" however you will not see him actually talk about hands, footwork, timing, reads or any actual technique when doing so like he does with line play.

Outside of line play and his anecdotes I tune him out. Cavanaugh, Sturm, Helman, and especially Brugler are much, much better talent evaluators.

Just FYI, Broaddus is no longer a scout because he is a single parent raising his son. The travel required for a scout made it an impossible situation for him.

He was fired by the Cowboys and never got another scouting job. Maybe he could have but given how bad he was at Dallas, I don't buy it.

The hate is because he gets very nasty with fans at times. At least he has softened up a bit recently, but you should never bite the hand that feeds you.

I like Broaddus.

At least he goes out on a limb, rather than just being an after-the-fact guy.

It's easy to be "right" when you never have an opinion till everything is already said and done.
