Broaddus re: Aldon Smith & Gregory

Broaddus just mentioned on the Draft show that he’s heard that Aldon Smith has a better chance of being reinstated than Randy Gregory.

With Broaddus you always take it FWIW, but after he passed along the info Dave Helman backed him up and said he heard the same thing.

There’s no reason for Gregory not to be reinstated. Would be silly not to.

either way, with no draft picks going towards the position and with Aldon and Gregory being question marks, and having plenty of cap space, I think we need to sign Griffin or Clowney.

It could easily be a situation where the NFL Front Office already has an animosity to Gregory and his agent/attorney, this might just be the fact Aldon/Aldob Smith is going into the NFL front office with guys that weren't part of his past 75 suspensions.

Gregory Should have been reinstated as soon as the new CBA was signed. It would be a crime not to reinstate Gregory this off season. Even worse if Smith is reinstated before Gregory. But You never know with Goodell.

Maybe Gregory hasn't tested clean for as long as some people think. Maybe that's why it took so long for him to apply for reinstatement.
Do we know for certain that he has applied?
That Aldon Smith would be closer to reinstatement than Gregory is astounding. Smith has an arrest record that is incredible.
