He was much better against SEA than Jax. He mostly did his job, probably was the most consistent lineman. Waletzko and Farniok were horrible again.
I did a breakdown of the first two drives. Hoffman was horrible, not Farniok.

Ball looked like garbage a year ago, in what was essentially his “rookie” outing after spending an entire year on IR, not playing or practicing football. Waletzko is in a similar position this year. Waletzko was also on IR for a year, and though this is his second training camp, he may as well be considered a rookie. Waletzko has looked bad this summer, just as Ball looked bad last summer. But we can reasonably expect Waletzko to improve over this season and start looking good a year from now.
Fans are much quicker to give up than coaches. It's almost like they know something that fans don't.

I have no idea what this is supposed to mean. Maybe Broaddus does or doesn't know his stuff, but he doesn't put in any work. He just says things.

Sturm regularly breaks down tape and is thorough in his scouting. He's the best Cowboys writer, by far.
Broaddus is immensely more tied into real NFL facts than Sturm, its not even close, he literally has been a head scout for the Cowboys...again in a hockey convo Sturm all day, football Broaddus by a mile.

Who is this Bryan Broaddus any relation to Snoop ?
Now i know why so many say "Broaddus knows nothing".. he was a lead scout for 40 years in the NFL won a SB with the Packers and worked for the Eagles, Cowboys and others.. literally talks to NFL GM's daily ...He and Jerry got crossways over how Jerry used to draft..

I don't care what he's connected to. He doesn't break down tape, he just says things.

Source in case this hasn't been posted.

Here is the video/audio: https://www.audacy.com/1053thefan/s...dus-reviews-the-tape-from-cowboys-vs-seahawks

Also, PFF had this as Ball's best performance, saying he did not allow a pressure:
https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-3-thin...owboys-preseason-loss-to-the-seattle-seahawks

"Ball played this game like he was pissed off, as he was firing off the snap with bad intentions to often displace Seattle's interior defenders. Ball was particularly adept on double-team and combination blocks, repeatedly bullying Seahawks defenders out of their assigned gaps Saturday night."
before we apologize, we might wanna see him do it again.

Actually it was BP that got rid of Broaddus. and I have never thought he was all that. A lot of people keep jobs for a long time and are not all that good so longevity does not always mean much.

Ball looked much better in his second preseason game than his first. But all we want to see from young guys is progress. Connor McGovern didn't look so great his first couple of years either. But he improved enough to start for the Cowboys last year when Tyron Smith went down with an injury. If Ball keeps developing then it is a win for Dallas.

Ball and Edga could get cut.
I don't think Ball will based on the first two preseason games, but we do need to see more. Fans need to stop holding last year against him. He was essentially a rookie and it showed.

Ball was very bad last year. Doesn't mean he can't develop and hit his stride.

But he has not been Jalen Tolbert good this year where everyone needs to issue apologies.
His ceiling this year is back up RT.
