Why, because they both played TE? Witten has only been a HS coach for 2 years. Campbell had been an assistant coach in the NFL for 10 years including assist. HC.

Whatever, people will find something wrong with whatever they do.

Makes sense after thinking about it. Probably will be Witten. Jones loves coaches training as they go. I say it right here. If Witten is hired it'll be the worst hiring in history of hires. The guy has NO experience as a coach past GRADE school. Talk about a 5 to 10 year training wheel session.

I would support that hire. Kiffin is really smart and the players love him. It would be good timing for him too b/c he just lost his QB. One snag is that Kiffin makes 9M per year at Ole Miss and there might a buy out. So, is Jerry willing to double the pay of his head coach?

He doesn't have too. Though don't count him out. Ole Miss has pulled top 5 recruiting classes and the portal makes anything possible. He almost got them in the playoff this past year. If they catch a scheduling break like IU did this past year and can avoid playing the top tier teams, they can surprise people and make a playoff.
