Dont know if he is guessing on Donald, smoke screen, or just going off the fact the Cowboys tend to like long armed lineman which is why they loved Brockers.

Bryan Broaddus likes Aaron Donald plenty, he's just advising fans to try to keep an open mind about who else might be on the board in the first round when Dallas' pick goes on the clock.

I agree. People were so set on Cooper and Warmack last year. And DeCastro the year before. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Donald jumped up into the top 10. It's still too early to tell, but his stock has been rising like crazy. It happens all the time. I remember the year Cam Newton went #1 overall. Even at the end of the season when they won the national championship, he was a 3rd rounder on most drafts. Then he shot into the 2nd round after the Senior Bowl. Then he was a late 1st rounder after the Combine. And then about a week before the draft people started saying he might go #1 overall.

No I think because he thinks there will be a player Dallas likes more at 16. I have Donald in my top 20 but if you go by the board I would pick the better over all player. They could have him at 18-22 but a player they have ranked 12th could be there.

Yeah, go back two weeks before the draft that year and everyone had Blaine Gabbert or Jake Locker going #1 overall.

With his size i think he falls to the bottom of RD1 or top of RD2. I think Dallas tries to trade down to get him. If not i can see then going with Kony, and a Easley or Quarles in a RD1 and RD2 combo works better. Then there is Dee Ford. If he can get to about 250lbs+ for the combine he will be Dallas' pick, no doubt in my mind

Dee Ford and Easley or Quarles is a winner winner chicken dinner

Yep!

We’ve so many holes we could take a good football player at practically any position and it would be an immediate improvement.

Yeah, I'd be looking at S and DL but CB and LB is ok, too.

Here's are CBs:

Carr
Scandrick
Claiborne
Yada

I'm sure this keeps DCs up at nights swigging Maalox and chewing on Tums.

It seems to me he's saying that there could be any number of guys the cowboys take in round 1 and that Donald is one of those. That Donald is far from a sure thing, but is a possibility.

And that's some priceless inside info, if you ask me.

But then again, you're talking about a guy who didn't know the player's name a month ago.

The problem with that group is size. BW and Moore are both size limited and their upside might be limited to slot CB. I would like for the last CB spot to be a big, developmental type player. In a league full of monster sized WRs, they at least need to try to develop bigger DBs.

This whole NFL has a size problem except for Seattle.

Carr 6'
Mo 5'11
Scan 5'10
Moore 5'10
BW 5'11

Moore is closer to 5'11.

They arent the tallest but they arent the shortest. They're NFL avg. Their problem is playing the ball in the air better. But i guarantee you something, if the Cowboys can get this DL situated the secondary will look a whole lot better.

Moore and Webb don't have good length. I don't have anything against either player per se, but I'm not sure that having smallish #4 and #5 CBs is a good way to develop a future starter. I would try to find some bigger players to at least compete for the 5th spot.

Sterling Moore
Ht: 5'9-5/8
Arm: 29-3/4

Webb
5'10-1/8
Arm: 30-1/4

Claiborne
Ht: 5-11
Arm: 33-1/4
