For years I've long defended Broadduss because I thought the criticism of him being a "failed" scout was too harsh.

However, this off-season he's completely lost me. He's been absolutely useless as an evaluator. I'd argue 90% of the time he's simply parroting whatever Dane Bruglar is saying. It's actually hilarious to hear him in the background as Bruglar is talking repeating what he's saying "yeah, yeah...no, no....I think Dane's got him right."

He made a statement years ago that he does not review any draft prospects until the NFL season is over. That seems absurd for somebody with his job.

I think he likes relaxing and being a radio jock. Most of his group. No offense don’t have football experience just bloggers who loved football and convince themselves they know football. I give them credit. They got a good job. They sacrificed but they are not really evaluators and basically are maybe just a little bit better than a blind person. (Us). And they look up up him like he is some kind of Star.

What drives me nuts is when Dave Helman or someone else calls him on something he pivots like that's the point he's trying to make...

Broadduss: "Joe Blow is a blazer"

Helman: "But he ran a 4.7 which is slow for a wide receiver."

Broadduss: "That's what I'm saying....he's slow."

I was going to start a “Gravity = Consistent” thread today, but I think this might even be better.

He’s horrible. I’ve gotten into it with him before on twitter. He’s a blowhard

Bunch of so called experts that never played high school football nor college ball. And sit there on the computers thinking they know how to evaluate.

Then go suck popsicles somewhere else.

I think a lot of this is harsh. I get the impression that Broadus does put the work in evaluating players, even if he doesn't have the opportunity to start until Christmas. He still properly evaluates 200+ guys with professional scouting cut-ups.

I do think he's too easily swayed by other peoples opinions. For instance months ago he was saying he thought Griffen was a 2nd/3rd round guy and was talked out of it by Dane Brugler.

Man, u ain’t joking... Mickey is annoying to me too.

My issue with Broaddus is he doesn't even watch the draft prospects until January, he's admitted it many times, and then he's fielding draft questions in February. He goes from haven't seen him to let me tell you all about him in a matter of weeks.

He's a fraud. Brugler's the guy to listen to on that show.

Haha yeah. I imagine him eating his own fingers with his sandwich and not even noticing.

You can see why he is an ex-scout.

He has no drive to excel. A guy that had a scouting job with an NFL team should not need to be 2nd string to a media guy that made himself into a draft "expert".
