I could care less about the loss today because I'm going to be in Miami for a week to watch my Iowa Hawkeyes destroy the Georgia Tech Yellowjackets in the Orange Bowl.
Ohhhhh man, can't wait.
I record all the games and have virtually every Cowboy game from 77-85 and 90-95 and 06-09.utrunner07;3124715 said:Broader perspective? In 10 years most of us will barely if at all, remember this game.

I also rewatch the games during the offseason and sometimes during the season. Even the losses. I'm working through 1979 right now.
I think I may have a problem.

I wanted to see you vs TCU.NextGenBoys;3124735 said:I dont expect anyone to pick Iowa. Nobody outside of Iowa ever does...we're used to it.
We've struggled to defend the run at times this year as we're only 33rd in the nation, (which is modest, but poor for Iowa standards) but we're 10th in scoring defense, and 5th in interceptions.
Tech is mediocre at best in any and all forms of defense (Ranked in the 50's). Warm weather combined with us getting our starting QB back and I think we'll be in pretty good shape against GT.
It's going to be a helluva game though.

77, good lawd. I would love to watch those games back then to see how differently it was played compared to now and how differently it was reffed compared to now.windward;3124724 said:I record all the games and have virtually every Cowboy game from 77-85 and 90-95 and 06-09.

I have to admit when I see a QB get decked I expect to see flags fly. Then I realize they actually let defenders defend back then.mldardy;3124879 said:77, good lawd. That would have been a helluva defensive battle.
utrunner07;3124800 said:Really, Im picking Iowa, I don't even think it would be that close. I have not seen GT that much this year but I assumed Iowa would be favored.
BTW how do you think Ferentz would do as a HC in the NFL? After watching him the past couple of years I would not mind seeing him get looked at here. Seems to do a lot with minimal talent...
Okay, you did your chirping. Now, show me how the last 2 games of last year had anything at all to do with yesterday.Hoofbite;3124680 said:Someone had to.
