Im still upset Dak took that much. He isn't worth it. He is greedy and selfish for doing it.

Other than Mahomes, name me the max dollar quarterbacks in the league who's worth what they're getting paid.... and are all these other quarterbacks not named Mahomes, greedy and selfish for accepting the max dollar contracts they are receiving???

Purdy did not put the team first. His agent definitely did not put the team first. They wanted $60+ million. We can dispense with Purdy’s a swell guy nonsense. The 49ers had some leverage in negotiations with Purdy. He had a year left on his current deal. He could be traded. He could be tagged twice. Dak could not be traded or tagged. Dak would have been a UFA at the end of the 2024 season. Jerry did not have the leverage the Niners had and paid for it.

Like I said, behind the scenes is a different story but in front of the media Purdy says all the right things while dak doesn’t

In my lifetime of experience in the workforce, I've seen people sacrifice or compromise themselves for two reasons, money is the major reason. They'll go anywhere, do anything for extra money regardless of how it negatively impacts their lives. Of course I'm talking about people that make good money either way.

It's so weird. Now I'm not talking about a guy who makes 50 grand being offered 100 grand, that'd be different.

Being miserable in a job is just not worth it. The sacrifice I see the most tends to be city/county/state workers. Most of them are miserable in their jobs but keep going to work just to get retirement. And the pay isn't great.
