Why?

That's the question that must be asked. Why would they willingly spend money on an underachiever like Gregory?

He had four good games in a row when he returned to football and hardly anything else afterwords.

In 343 defensive plays for Denver he has achieved 3 sacks, 9 QB hits, 4 tackles for a loss and 2 forced fumbles. That can't be worth the money.

However, the 49ers trade for him? The 49ers are pretty savvy when it comes to acquiring talent. This trade seems like such a contradiction.

This blows my mind, why take on the money if he was going to get released?
They don’t want him on Dallas and their pass rush has been just ok this year. The Jets and Patriots have both been better defensively then the 49ers when you look at their competition.

The Cowboys, mainly Jerry, was way to patient with Gregory. When he started to turn the corner, he crapped all over Jerry and jumped to Denver. Any team with an owner (not named Jerry Jones) will not put up with his bipolar ways...

Denver paying most of his salary, so basically cost 49ers the Vet minimum, don't see an issue here.

Our running game just benefitted from his arrival. I hope he gets to play against Dallas. RUN RIGHT AT HIM.

This move tells me either Dallas or Philly tried to also make this move IMO. Credit to the 49ers they are better today than they were yesterday. Guy has the speed to chase down Hurts and ability to make game changing plays. Also can make boneheaded penalties but won’t vs us.
If he does make them against us, they may not even call them. I've seen that before!

Gregory is washed up. The worst pick up Denver ever made. Just a disaster. I am glad he went to SF because he is toast against our OL.

Lol every time a team picks up a former cowboys player prior to playing the team they lose. This may mean a guaranteed cowboys victory on Sunday.

It's really very simple. He's an upgrade at LDE for the 49ers.

Randy sure landed on his feet with this one. If RG can get back to form, which, I think he will because the team he's on he can do some damage w/ Bosa.

They might be taking an upside shot and the fact that they have a bunch of bad *** SOB's on that D that I wouldn't want to mess with and a culture that I'm guessing you wouldn't find at The Star (that place is insane) to keep him in line or just cut his ***.
