Brooking's blitzes...

We got a lot of pressure on the blitzes, McNabb just threw the ball away in time. Not to mention the time Brooking was yanked backward by the back of his jersey.

The defense held them to 3 points tonight. It couldn't have been too bad.

...just do not work. Maybe we should try something else on defense. I think he brings a lot to the team in terms of leadership and he's still a good linebacker, but the blitz attempts must stop.

Good post. I've wondered the same.

On the one, yes, he got blocked but that left Igor a straight path to McFlabb... Who then quickly chucked it to nobody.

Inexplicably, there was no grounding call.

I dont understand intentional grounding at all...it seems like a simple concept, yet I consistently see it called when it probably shouldnt have been, and ignored when it was obviously done to avoid a sack.

I do know an entirely different set of intentional grounding rules must apply to Tony Romo however.

And as was pointed out on one post game show I listened to, Brooking is one of the oldest players in the league, yet was a 3 down player tonight. They can't expect to get much out of him all season long using him like this.

Sean Lee being unable to be the nickel LB is a big deal.

Clinton Portis is one of the best blitz picker upers in the game. He stone walls everyone. If anything I thought that brooking came though the line and almost nano blitz mcnabb, but somehow clint portis drilled brooking. Props to portis and props to brooking

It was 6 points and I agree. They must have done some good, because the Commanders offense is not the reason Dallas lost.

This is a time where you give credit where it is due. Clinton Portis is one heck of a blocker. He is not scared to mix it up.

Sorry I don't recall the Commanders offense doing that much. Yes Brooking got stoned on a couple of play he also broke through flushing the QB out.

I was saying this to my wife last night.

Stoned every time.

Try a stunt or something.
