heard on the ticket this morning that now the cowboys win over the browns is not so impressive considering how they played the steelers, umm, I hate the steelers just as much as any cowboys fan, but I am not a "hater" they have a good defense and so do the boys, I wish they would give the boys more credit, guess we got to show them by kicking the eagles where it hurts

Ummm the Steelers are not so impressive. All you have to do is shut down the steelers running attack and they suffer. Big Ben is so overrated he has been a bus driver his whole career. They couldn't dominate Cleveland's poor *** defense

Well "the ticket is just cowboy hating...trying to stir things up to get ratings. Ignore this BS!

The Browns are getting better, the Steelers have been very successful over the past years and are still a good team, and the Cowboys continue to get better each year and many claim they have the most talented team in the NFL (some argue San Diego).

All you can do is beat whoever is on your schedule. Who knows what is impressive until we get past mid season to see who is legit and who is not.

Is it just me, or did anyone else notice the Steelers copied our D game plan against the Browns word for word?

Remember last week how we were griping and complaining about the lack of pass rush. Well-Pitt did the same thing we did last week-they didn't get much of a pass rush either b/c they only rushed 3-4 guys most of the time while dropping back 6 DBs. Result? They held the Browns O to only 2 FGs.

I dunno-maybe we left a blueprint on how to beat the Browns O?:D

Yep, the Steelers are a good team and I was impressed that Cleveland stayed as close to them as they did last night.

And the weather had a lot to do with the low score. It wasn't that the Steelers O is horrible. Just ask the Texans, who many picked to be a playoff team this year.

I'll make an opinion mid season. right now they look bad and Anderson looks like He's playing scared. That Oline that is supposed to be the best isnt looking anything like it.

 . All you have to do is shut down the running attack! All you have to do to stop the Cowboys is stop their passing attack. Sure. That simple.

The Steelers may be the best team in football right now. They are as scary as we are. They run the ball because they're difficult to stop. And if you try to stop the run by stacking the LOS then they'll throw the ball on you.

Big Ben a bus driver?

You call a 104 QB Rating, 32 touchdowns, 11 INTs & a 65% Completion last year being a bus driver? :laugh2:

Peyton Manning has only passed for more than 32 TD's twice in his career (2000 & 2004). Would you call ANY of his years being a bus driver???

Last season's Browns were a farce just like our 10-6 season that led to a humiliating loss against the Panthers in the first round of the playoffs.

What did we do after that? We went 6-10. Look for the Browns to finish no better than 7-9.

That said, the Steelers are good. So are we. Like someone said earlier: "All you can do is beat the teams on your schedule." Still a long season to go.

So then are you saying the Steelers offense is good because of the arm of Big Ben?

The colts win games because of Peyton Manning. The Steelers win games because of their defense and running backs.

The Browns hit us with a HORRIBLE defensive game plan. They brought no pressure and when they did, they were a little succesful with it. Phili and other teams won't make that mistake. And on offense, Edwards had about 6 dropped passes (yes, a number picked out of my butt). Not saying they would have won but I would have liked to have seen what the game looked like had he had no dropped passes. One was a sure touchdown.

I am excited about this Phili game because I really want to see what we can do when someone hits us in the mouth. Phili has the talent to really do that. I can't imagine there being any reason that anybody can't get jack'd about this game. It should be plain silly.

Any team with a good defense will stop the Steelers offense. They are not explosive and scary. The strength of that team is their Defense. Big Ben needs a running game to set up the pass. If they relied on Big Bens arm every game they would lose more then they would win.

David Garrard had a QB rating of 102.2 18tds 3int, completion percentage of 64% so hes all world right? No he is a bus driver like Ben whos teams rely on a running game. Not their QB like the Colts and Cowboys.

You just said before the Steelers are unimpressive yet they win games because they have a damn good defense and a damn good running game.

If they have 2 of the 3 things (Defense, Passing attack, running attack) that make a team good, that team is considered good. The Steelers CHOOSE to run most of the time because they are VERY good at it, not because Ben can't pass the ball, again he had 32 TD's last year. He proved he can.

If you don't think the Steelers can pass the ball you are in for a big surprise, Tomlin has that team looking good. Did you see the weather in that game last night? The wind and rain was ridiculous.

So your defense in Ben being a bus driver is to mention a mediocre QB that had a good rating?? You believe the Steelers are who they are despite Ben, I am one who agree's that they are who they are, in part, because of Ben. We can always bring up one year wonders that had good years, doesn't take away from the people that do it more often than not.

32 minus 18 = 14 TD's

Ben damn near DOUBLED HIM in TD's last year dude...that's not even a comparison.

I came away thinking our win was more impressive, considering we manhandled them and they were very competitive with the Steelers, who are clearly the best team in the AFC.

When they were closing out the game, they got some first downs PASSING the ball, especially early in that drive.

BTW-in their '05 Super Bowl run, Cowher called pass-happy game plans in their 3 AFC playoff wins, and Big Bin had 100+ QB ratings.

Big Ben doesn't suck but the dude isn't elite. Their passing attack is not a threat. If they start running on teams it sets teams up for the pass. If you take that away then the Steelers offense is not a threat. If you have been watching the Steelers since they got Big Ben when have they ever been a passing team. The run to set up the pass.
