Two things are becoming more clear by the week: the Cleveland Browns will likely have the No. 1 overall pick in the 2017 NFL draft, and Texas A&M’s Myles Garrett is the prospect most worthy of that selection.
It appears the the two could be headed for a late-April wedding.
The Browns are “enamored” with the Aggies pass-rusher, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter:
The Browns have what one source close to the situation described as an “astronomical grade” on Texas A&M defensive end Myles Garrett, a blue-chip prospect who could dramatically upgrade Cleveland’s defense. The Browns are enamored with Garrett, according to the source.
Cleveland still hasn’t seemed to solve their quarterback problem, which is leading many to believe they could use the top overall pick at the game’s most important position. But they also have an additional first-rounder, as well as an early pick in the second round, either of which they could use on a passer.
If the Browns are indeed targeting a quarterback early, Schefter suggests Notre Dame’s DeShone Kizer could be their target, should he declare early
