QBs this year seem extremely risky at the top. Trubiski is talented, but very raw and inexperienced. Kizer may be physically the best QB in the draft but while the defense was terrible, you have to question why he couldnt win more.

I dont think Kessler is awful. I think he is Kyle Orton
Then I would do like i said take Garrett and create a hard to stop running game with Cook in the 1st. Take a TE and DB in the 2nd. Then possibly a Slot receiver in the 3rd to go with Colman and Pryor on the outside. Takr a QB in the 4th to compete with Kessler.

If the Eagles keep losing, they could wind up in Fournette country

The Browns don't need to take a QB this draft. What they need to do is what we did-build a wall through the draft & free agency that rivals any in the league, then get your QB in 2018 when Lamar Jackson comes out. There is not a QB alive who can make that offense work. They lost two Pro Bowl quality O-linemen before the season, & they weren't very good WITH those guys. There are no great OTs in this draft, but they can still get a great OC/OG in Pat Elflein of the Buckeyes-either with their other 1st round pick, or at #33. They should wait until the second-third rounds to obtain an OT or two. There's little drop in the quality. Garrett is a no brainer for that team, that desperately needs star players to build with. They finally have the front office & coaching staff that can help them win. They drafted QB Cody Kessler, who has played well in spite of the lack of talent surrounding him, Shon Coleman, a promising OT, & DL Emmanuel Ogbah, OK State, who leads the team with 5 sacks. They also brought in LBs Demario Davis & Jamie Collins. The owner just needs to understand that HE was part of the reason they had to be stripped to the bone because he kept hiring knuckleheads to run the circus, & be patient with the current staff.

Browns have one of the better Olines in the league in terms of talent on paper. They need a coach and system that isn't different every year so they can actually gel together. They need to take Garrett & Fournette or Cook in the 1st. Then get a real TE at the top of the 2nd. Then use their 2nd round pick from Philly on a Olineman, Safety, or corner.

I watch them play every week, so I know of what I speak. You've been reading the wrong paper, if you think their O-line is one of the best. They lost Joel Bitonio early in the season, John Greco two weeks ago & he and Joe Thomas are both in their thirties. The rest is a train wreck. Their LOS moves the wrong way more often than not, due mostly to OC Cam Erving, who doesn't have the grit it takes to play against grown men, & Spencer Drango, a rookie who still needs a year or two in an NFL weight room before he can hold his ground. The other players aren't worth mentioning. They don't need a top RB-they have two. Those guys just need more lanes to run through. They do need a TE, who they should get in the second-third round area. I would focus on OC/OG Pat Elflein with either their 2nd 1st round pick, or at #33. He's big, quick, & has a mean streak. Offensive tackles can be had after the first round without much drop as I said, & in free agency, which I hope they use extensively. They have a fine coach in Hue Jackson, & quality people above him. Those folks just need time to make their plan a reality.

It's a horrible draft for OT. OG and C is deep. They could easily go Garrett & RB in the 1st then TE and OG in the 2nd. They have 2 top 10 picks in both rounds. Could end up with 2 top 5 picks in both 1st and 2nd if the Eagles keep losing. or they could go and get Oline help in free agency. Oline free agency class is solid this year.

They probably have cap space to add some good OL. They could sign Leary for example. The Cowboys could throw Doug Free into the trade with Romo.

Who isn't enamored with Myles Garrett? Do you even need scouts for that?

I hope to God the team doesn't trade Leary. He's been as good as any of the Pro Bowlers this season, & better than what I've seen in Collins. Players like him don't grow on trees. Romo is too old for the Browns. They are on a youth movement, & I think that will continue. I look at teams like Denver, who I think believe they are just a top notch QB away from making another run at the SB.

Leary will be a free agent. The won't re-sign him unless La'el is moving to RT.

I agree that Leary should probably have received Pro Bowl votes.

He got them from me. Moving Collins to RT just makes sense, either him or Green, who can't seem to stay healthy. Either way, we'd have a top notch player to start or sub. Pay the man, I say.
