I just don’t think it’s on them. If Micah and his team said we will sign for 40 now Jerry would decline? I just don’t think that’s the case.
 
Stupid move by Cleveland. That franchise is no where close to competing for a title. They should have traded him

Parsons made it clear he wanted it done early.
 
For Garrett, it is clearly all about the money. Always has been. He just made that statement about wanting a ring for show, nothing else.
 
People acting like a deal doesn't take 2 sides. The fact that most fans believe micah when he said he doesn't have to break the bank is hilarious

This is the way it works for pretty much every players. Most just want to make as much money as they can make. They know that there are plenty of All-Pros and Hall of Famers who never won a Super Bowl, so while they might like to win one, they are not going to kick against management if management is willing to pay them.

This is why I think it's funny when some of our fans want our players to walk away when the front office does nothing in free agency. Players aren't geared that way.

I think it's more about the agents. Smart agents know that if they wait, the market goes up. Their client gets more money and, more importantly to them, they get more money. No reason to push for a contract when they know that the value isn't going to go down.

Oh me too. I'd ditch Watson, get him away from my team, and just eat a mountain of dead money....and just spend the next 2 years getting Ward trained up

Only problem is...CLE picks #2. If they want Ward...they'll have to outbid a good number of other teams to move up to #1.

there are clearly some that want that ring badly. But most do not want it so badly that they pass up the big green
 
Smart players could get a chance to contend & still get paid.

It's just lazy to be so public about wanting to leave and then sign a new deal.
