The Browns are not looking to re-sign WR Antonio Bryant.

Bryant is coming off his best year as a pro, but the Browns are looking in a different direction. They're hoping to get TE Kellen Winslow and WR Braylon Edwards back by training camp. Pittsburgh could go after Bryant as a replacement for Antwaan Randle El.

He went to college there and could fit right in, to the extent he would ever be able to fit in anywhere. Sooner or later he will probably wind up in Oakland. Wonder how long Cowher would put up with him? Would Rooney ever hire him?

Man there were a number of very vocal "All about Antonio" posters on this board when he left. Strike TWO for YOU!

Oh, I dunno about that...

..the Browns have a TON of money tied up between Winslow and Edwards...Bryant just had his best year....I'm sure he's asking for some serious bucks.

I still think the guy has great talent...in essence, we cut him....yeah, we got Quincy Morgan but that's the equivalent of getting nothing in return.

Bryant may be a bit of a head case but the talent and last season, the production, are there.

Bryant had 69 receptions for 1009 yards. That was with a struggling offense who switched QBs. For comparison Keyshawn had 71 for 839 and Glenn had 62 for 1136. If you don't think Bryant has a good amount of talent, I don't think you're watching close enough. And he's only 25.

IMO His talent was never a question. It's what is between his ears.

The bottom line is AB couldn't get along with the new regime and was let go for a sack of peanuts. That's the way it is when new regimes with their new philosophies.

At least AB hasn't matured or turned into a Pro Bowler. Looks like a good #2 guy right now.

Very true. It's just hard to let go of good young talent like that when we have two old starters. He made some mistakes here, but the staff probably could have handled him better and probably made some mistakes themselves.

..and exactly what is between Keyshawn's ears?

Whatever it is, I have a suspicion it has a chewy caramel center. :)

You can't compare one guy to two. Combined AB and B. Edwards went 101 1521 7 where Key and Glenn went 133 1975 13. For the record our offense struggled as well with one of the worst O-lines in the business.

I totally agree with that last point. I get the feeling that Keyshawn instigated some stuff with him too and Parcell's favortism came into effect. Really for the second year straight when you come right down to it, first with Glenn just simply being signed and taking his #2 spot, which I'm sure he viewed as favortism there also. Though personally I believe if Parcells had been more sure about his own future here in Dallas at the time that he perhaps would have spent a little more time working with Bryant, instead opting for the 'quickfix', the "devils" he already knows.

You know, just thought of this but Quincy Morgan got a ring, albeit a tarnished and stolen one and he didn't play, but still, that sucks.

Does anyone remember the Larry Johnson for AB trade rumors? Could we have actually made that trade or was it just speculation by a few fans?
