the dude is one failed test away from a YEAR-LONG suspension. A second round pick is pretty risky for a guy with his kind of off the field issues.
Not an RKG.

He's a great young talent at a position that isn't of need.
Sorry but we don't need a guy who 1) is 1 step away from getting a lengthy league suspension for his off the field stupidity and 2) he's going to want a nice contract in the very near future. In case folks have forgotten, and I'm sure the OP would love to, we have this kid named Bryant. You might have heard of him. He's a better WR than Gordon, and a large majority of the WR's in the league, and he's going to be needing a nice new deal soon.
On top of that this team desperately HAS TO HAVE D-Line help. Giving up a 2nd round pick for a luxury that is not needed on offense would be absolutely stupid.
It is but Terrance Williams was unreal yesterday. I would have made the trade in a heartbeat before the Denver game. Now, it's a luxury, especially when there are desperate needs elsewhere.
LOL, someone called it a luxury the last time this got brought up.
I'm tired of that RKG philosophy. At one point, Dez wasn't a RKG around here. He was a 'troublesome womanbeater' or some such nonsense. Sometimes you have to take the risk for guys with a lot of talent and try to build an environment around them that keeps them out of trouble.
A second rounder sounds high given the needs on our team, but if he can be negotiated down to a 3rd rounder, I'd consider it.
But that was before Williams went insane against Denver. Before that, Williams had done nothing to suggest he was a playmaker.
Don't pull a hammy backpeddling...lol.
I said we were just fine with Dez and TWill outside with Beasley and Harris inside. We were then we are now.
Since we are asking, i would take Haden or TJ Ward
True enough, but it's a luxury I think we should take. Romo would be unreal with Bryant/Gordon/Witten/Williams/Murray as his weapons.
According to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport, the Browns would like a second-round pick in return. Gordon's talent is worth a first-rounder, but that's not all that goes into the equation. If it were, the odds would be extremely low the Niners could find a player as good in the first round of next May's draft.
The last thing this team needs is another WR.
Bottom line to me is if you can get a guy who has the potential to be top ten talent at his position for a second rounder, you consider it. We do have needs like D-line right now but what about if Bryant gets injured or Williams get's injured? We have our 1st and 3rd rounders to draft D-line.
