Bruce Carter said it was a coaches' decision that kept him on the sideline

Next couple weeks will test this team.

If they survive a possible dismantling against Denver, they could recover and pick up some steam against a couple of weak teams that follow.

If they go after each other and start crumbling, the skins game could be a killer.

Super talented kid. Put this on the coaching staff allowing the matchup to occur. That first TD pass was right in stride and there was little Carter could do about it.

I put the first touchdown on Carr. Carter was matched up with Gates on the left side, as he motions to the right..for reasons I cannot fathom Carr directed Carter to pick up Woodhead and he switched to Gates (the more favorable matchup for Carter)

Bruce Carter is a bad player?

What in the hell has he done? He's played a few good games, got hurt last year. Big deal. Like the Yankees in baseball, the Cowboys players are vastly overrated. They have a few good players, but not nearly enough. When the players are poorly coached, and the roster is constructed by a hillbilly, you get a team going nowhere...again.

So did I but I blame it partially on the coaching staff. I don't know why we kept allowing the Chargers to match Carter up against Woodhead in man to man coverage. It's a complete mismatch and it happened more than once, one time for a TD.

I was wondering that too, that is a bad matchup for alot of LB's.

If this was a Bradie James or Keith Brooking, this type of move would make sense, but this kid had his 1st really rough game in the NFL & is going to learn from it and get better, I kinda hated seeing that move made. I hope this was just sending a message to get his head 100% in the game & nothing more.

I disagree. he's played poorly all year. I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess he isn't doing his assignments and got benched because of that more then giving up td to woodhead.

Did Lee get benched too? If not, then your coaching decisions will help you lose your players respect.

Sean Lee? Lee had double digit stops and an INT return for a TD. Lumping him in with Bruce Carter is at worst, ridiculous, at best, uninformed. Lee gave up a TD but Rivers dropped that ball over the top while Gates kept his stride. Not perfect coverage but that pass was close to perfect.

Lee was hustling all game, per usual. Carter, for whatever reason, was dogging it all game. He was always in trail position in coverage and appeared to be jogging to the ball. If there was not something wrong with him physically, then he was mentally not in the game. He should have been yanked sooner. He may as well have not been on the field for BOTH of Woodhead's TDs and he was subpar in run support.

Something was def up with Bruce Carter but coaches game plan and non-existent adjustment could have been a factor as well. But pointing fingers at Sean Lee is baffling. And except for that TD to Gates, Rivers and the Chargers killed the Cowboys on the edges, not down the middle of the field.
