Sorry if already posted, but i did not see it.

Does anyone have an update on Bruce Carter? I know he has not played well this year but we need him now more than ever.

My guess is he would move to ILB and have Holloman and Wilber on the outside.

Like i said, i know he has struggled but i do not want to see lawrence out there anymore.

Bruce Carter: talented but soft.

Not sure how much of an upgrade he would actually be. Haven't heard much about his status lately

carter is built like a bowman and willis...sure don't play like them though.

i would kill to know what's up with the guy.

personal problems?

lost the desire to play?

hates the coaches?

what is the deal ?

Could be all 3. Though I wonder if that benching that came out of nowhere after the san diego game did more to his psyche than people can imagine.

quite possible

i was excited as hell to watch him and lee tear things up this year....and then i was like????????????

Could it be that he is playing out of position......played really well at inside linebacker in a 3-4 but has struggled outside in a 4-3....might be good to see him play inside again

Time to move on from him. Three years in. We see the results.

Yup! Plays LB when he should be a placeholder.

I really don't know what went wrong with this dude but he doesn't need to be on this team next year.

That's why I go back to the 3-4 after this season.

This Tampa 2 has been a debacle and I think we can salvage at least a year with what we have and could have next season.

Lee can play in either scheme if he can stay healthy, but I think Ware and Carter are so much better in a 3-4 defense.

And Spencer may be looking and needing another year to prove he can still play. He would likely benefit from the 3-4 as well.

And the man cornerbacks that we signed and drafted would do better there as well in my opinion.

But we would still need the linemen up front, regardless of scheme.

It took him a while to pick up things in the 3-4, he's a slow learner.

His reputation coming out of UNC was soft and injury prone. Imagine that. He's fulfilled his college scouting report to the hilt. And then some.

broaddus hinted at him and eberflus having beef. either way, he's just another of a long line of soft underachieving tar heels.

It's like he's the only guy that gets held accountable on this team. He looked great last year, but all of a sudden he's garbage this year?

I could get behind moving back to the 3-4. Last year, we were missing both NTs, both Ilb, and our starting stron safety. We at least forced punts. It seems with this Tampa 2 that if you don't have e right pieces, good lord is it ugly.

After the draft and free agency, look at the healthy bodies and make a decision. The front 7 is such a mess this year just add all the talent you can and go from there. Make the scheme fit the personel you have not vice versa. The main objective is to make the pass rush feared. We have to help those secondary guys some.

when you can't make a decision on what defense you should be running based on your personnel, it's time to clean house, blow it up and start over.

I see what you're saying, but I don't think you can do things that way.
