A few players from that mock I've started watching and will be paying close attention to
Deshaun Watson, QB, Clemson: Watson is extremely gifted and if he is able to develop in certain areas and stay healthy, he will be one of the top quarterback prospects in the 2017 class.
Desmond King, CB, Iowa: After 21 passes defended and eight interceptions as a junior, King passed up a chance to be a first-round pick to return and improve as a senior.
Jonathan Allen, DE, Alabama: After leading the Crimson Tide in sacks (12.0) and tackles for loss (14.5) in 2015, Allen surprisingly passed up the NFL to return to Tuscaloosa.
Brad Kaaya, QB, Miami (Fla.): While not yet a polished passer, Kaaya has flashed first-round talent and his development under new head coach Mark Richt will interesting to track.
O.J. Howard, TE, Alabama: The Texans added several offensive playmakers in the 2016 NFL Draft, but the tight end position could use an upgrade and Howard has vast upside.
Jake Butt, TE, Michigan: Mike McCarthy values the tight end position and with Jared Cook on a one-year deal, a talented prospect like Butt makes sense for the Packers.
OJ Howard would drive people nuts if he was picked, but that kid reminds me so much of the Commanders TE Jordan Reed with his ability as a pass catcher, except he isn't made of glass. He's also a really good blocker thanks to the system he's been in. If Romo stays healthy I don't think we even have a shot of getting him. Unless of course he's not a big part of the passing game again. I still don't know why he didn't declare.
