Depending on how the draft played out, a WR is not s bad choice. Dsllas really needs it . I was hoping Treadwell would have fell to them this year TBH. One reason that the backup QBs looked so bad is due to poor quality WRs that could not get separation.

Certainly possible with an exodus at CB next year.

I this the better value is to draft CBs in the second and third rounds. If they go defense, pass rushers should always be the priority.

Probably, really just depends on the board, my preference is pass rush to be sure in the first.

I'd love the WR or the QB from Clemson, depending on whether or not Dak shows any spark of development this season.

I really have a hard time understanding why so few think Dak has a chance just based on the round he was selected.

66% completion rate..........almost 3800 yards passing....29 TDs to 5 INTs.....almost 600 yards rushing....9-4 W-L record....4-4 in SEC at Mississippi State.....behind a line that allowed him to be sacked 32 times in 13 games.

If those stats were put behind Carson Wentz's name, fans would be pissing their pants at him going to Philly, but Dak isn't even being given a hopeful chance of developing as the future. Why are we so sure he's garbage already?

If an elite QB is out of reach, pass rushers would be my pick. No CB is worth s damn without a good pass rush.

It has nothing to do with where he was drafted. My opinion is based off of watching his entire college career. Dallas liked Cook over him and there has not been any other teams interested in Dak. There are legit reasons why.

What are they? I guess teams were more interested in Romo? The bottom line is he put up great #'s in the toughest conference in college football behind one of the worst OLs. No QB taken in round 4 has a GREAT chance, but he does have a chance, and it's foolish for people to say he'll never amount to anything or it was a wasted pick---to me those responses are just stupid. If you watched his entire college career, what could he have done last season to improve upon 29 TDs and 5 INTs or the team record?

Because it's the reality of the situation. 4th round QBs rarely make it. And there have been some very prolific passers with great stats taken in the 4th round.

Doesn't mean he absolutely cannot be productive but he was taken in the 4th round for a reason and history tells us guys taken then have long odds.

Keep looking at his numbers if it makes you feel better. He is a good kid, but he is not going to be a decent alto QB. This has been debated over and over. Nobody liked him until Dallas drafted him and now everybody is thinking he is the future QB of the team. There is s long list of basics that a QB needs to have. He is lacking several of them. It was a wasted pick. Dallas needs Romo's replacement ASAP. Dak is not it.

I doubt we are in any kind of position to take a elite QB, if there are any.

Clearly our top needs next year are: did we fix the pass rush, if not address that, then WR, CB and S in any order.

Oh wow. i would go on such an uncensored rant and get permi band from this site if we used our 1st round pick on another running back next year.

Yeah unfortunately it looks like mccaffrey will be a first, unless his play slips this season. I would actually want him in the 2nd round and Kupp in the 3rd round....grab an OL in the middle rounds, use the rest of the draft on D.

I dont think he will be a 1st round pick but if we want him we would need to take him in the 1st. I see him going very early in the 2nd. I think fournette goes top 10 and Dalvin Cook goes late 1st. Then Mccffrey early 2nd followed by Nick Chubb.

With Zeke we will either make the playoffs or just miss it. No top 10 Pick this year. WR or DB in the 1st may be the best value unless a QB like Kelly or Mahomes is at our pick or in range to get with a small trade up. WR and DB will probably be the best value in the 2nd as well.

WR wouldn't be the worst pick.

WR is the one position I would upgrade now. Optimal for success this year. Nobody out there ... Roddy White. Put him in the slot and catch 3-4 yard 1st downs on 3rd and short he can still use his body to shield defenders.
