I think you might Ben undervaluing what he's capable of. He was PFFs top graded defender.
"Our top-graded player, Hurst was unstoppable against both the run (94.4) and as a pass-rusher (92.3) where he topped all interior defensive linemen. He led all interior rushers with 48 total pressures (seven sacks, 10 QB hits, and 29 hurries"
Christian Wilkins has announced he is returning to school.I love the pick personally.
I think he is the best DT in the group.
Correct me if Im wrong but this would be the 1st DT in Rd 1 since Russel Maryland??
I like Hurst...athletic...versitle...strong...good v the run and gets to the QB.
Id be more than ok with him or Christian Wilkins.
5. Denver Broncos - Josh Allen, QB, Wyoming
Denver has major question marks at quarterback, and there are obvious connections to make between the Broncos and the Wyoming prospect. In a controlled setting like the Senior Bowl, Allen has a chance to shine under the direction of the Broncos' coaching staff and it is fair to assume that John Elway will be intrigued with his elite physical traits.
I’m a little surprised your this high on him cnub.
Like me, I thought you were worried about his size vs. NFL OLineman?
I have no doubt the kid can play, but what a huge gamble that he’ll be able to hold up (let alone dominate) at his size with the 19th pick.
didnt know that at the time.Christian Wilkins has announced he is returning to school.

According to this mock at least 4 players that are regularly discussed at 19 are flying up the draft board.
It never fails.
It would be good for us to have more QBs go prior to the pick, but I don't see how any talent evaluator can look at Allen and think he is a top five pick. He might not even be a first rounder based on how he played this year. He is a rare super media hype player. Usually you see some get overrated, but nothing like this.
He may have the highest ceiling of any QB’s coming out this year.
No, he’s not ready to start right away, but.......
He will have his shot at the Senior Bowl. After that I have a feeling people will know all about him.I hate "POTENTIAL". It's a franchise killer.
Honestly I cannot remember that last time a QB who cannot complete 60% of his passes in Division I school become a superstar in NFL.
It's great for the Cowboys for all the QBs to get pushed up. More none QB players get pushed down.
I typically do look for the prototype size for the position but man at the end of the day his tape doesn't lie.
And like I said, he's gone back to back seasons producing playing for a nationally ranked team.

Nope, everybody wanted the WIN.Would have been nice to lose that last Philly game. Those 2 or 3 spots make a big difference.
Well, with Wilkins announcing his return to Clemson, any shot of Vea making it to the Cowboys probably just went out the window.
I want a disruptive DT more than anything at #19, so I guess I’m on the Hurst bandwagon now
Take PFF with a grain of salt.
That would be so JJ/JG.If Derwin James is there @17 you have to got get him.
